We loved the location. However, the space was incredibly small. The logistics to get to the second floor was complicated, I have knee difficulties and the multiple stairs are a problem but the elevator does not stop on the second floor unless you have a key which only the employees have. The street noise was incredible, kept us up the entire night, our first night. Nicely decorated and friendly staff, but I would not stay here again.

Overall it was a good experience and the beds are very comfortable, but the outside noise made it almost impossible to sleep. Even with the windows closed, we hard ally/street noise till around 4 in the morning and it started again at 6.

Chinitas urban hostel was in a great location. Close to all amenities. The front house staff were great, very knowledgeable about the area and with a good understanding of English. The hostel was also very clean. My only complaint would be that the four bed dorm was tiny, I had to unpack on the floor as there was very little space. You must remember though that the price of staying here is very cheap so I do not think it is fair complaining.

I stayed one night in Chinitas but found it to be a great experience at a backpacker's level. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and secure, the hostel itself was very secure, and the bathroom was clean and water was hot. I stayed in a four-bed, mixed dorm. The area is popular and therefore can be noisy in the evening until late but the hostel provides free ear plugs. The hostel is very well situated: a 5-10 min. walk from the airport Linea A bus (Passe del Parque - or also called the Marina stop - the second to the last), is inside the historic center, near the Cathedral, Roman Theatre and AlCazba Fort as well as the night scene. The rooftop terrace provided a nice view of the Cathedral. Breakfast (by coupon) was simple toast and coffee in the restaurant next door but was very welcome. I would stay there again.

The hostel is in a great location. It's clean and in good condition. The only negative is the bathroom was so warm. They could do with some better ventilation in there. But it was clean so that's all that matters really. Staff on reception were all very friendly.

Pros: staff were very friendly and helpful location was great for seeing the centre of the city, it was surrounded by lots of shops, restaurants and cafes Cons: it was a very basic hostel. I booked a single room but it was still just a bunk bed. I had to make my own bed. You had to pay extra for a towel. Half the lights in the bathroom didn't work. The shared showers were not very private. There was a bar on the roof which was probably great for socialising but I wanted a good night's sleep before a big day of travelling and found it quite loud. I got locked out of my room for about an hour because there was a fault with the door.

The location of this hostel is second to none. When I arrived I was greeted in a very helpful and friendly manner by the reception staff; I met probably four different reception members throughout the stay and they were all excellent. The rooms are small and simple, but very satisfactory with pretty decor and working air conditioning, lots of power points, decent bedding, and bedside lights. The major issue I had with the hostel is the bathroom situation. The bedrooms are situated over two floors - you are only able to gain access to your own floor with your key. So far, so good. But there is only one bathroom to service the whole floor of, I think, five rooms, and this takes the form of a unisex bathroom with two toilet cublicles and two unlockable shower cubicles. I walked in to brush my teeth one morning to encounter two naked men. Not on the whole a bad experience, but certainly not a comfortable one! I personally would feel uncomfortable showering there, and having to walk the corridor back to my room in a towel as there is no changing space. Also, the mirrors are very high on the walls in the bathroom and none anywhere else, for instance none in the bedrooms, so for girls wanting to do their makeup it's a bit of an issue. I stayed at the hostel with friends so got to see three different rooms, so feel like I have a fair overview. If I had been a single female I would not have showered there. My only other complaint was the internet connection, not very good at all.

Good location right in the heart of Malaga. Room was comfortable with heating easily accessible when needed. 24hr access and helpful staff available. Tourist information provided a lot of travel option which was located a few metres from accommodation. However, if you are a light sleeper, patrons at he the bar can sometimes be loud. The jolly effect of alcohol. Lol!

2 nights in Chinitas. Excellent central location and clean hostel. It was loud and struggled to sleep first night, but to be expected in such a central location with a bar above you.
