Excellent breakfast!

Such a great hotel!! I recommend staying in a suite...So lovely! The hotel is beautiful and the breakfasts were terrific!

Grand Hotell Hörnan has the charm of a small old-line hotel. The location is very convenient to the railroad station as well as to the attractions of the university and the cathedral. The hotel has a comfortable little lounge and a pleasant dining room for breakfast and light meals. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Loved this charming hotel. Beautiful details and character in this wonderfully located property. However, there was no on-site parking nor air conditioning. To control room temperature we had to have the windows open and given it’s wonderful location, There was a fair amount of street noise. Complementary breakfast was awesome; Many different options and well presented..

Great hotel in a great location. Our room was good sized. Sheets were particularly comfortable. The cupboard was quite small and “ugly”, IKEA style. No safe. Very friendly staff. Thank you!!

Lovely hotel but standard rooms rather small. We had to move rooms as there was no walk-in shower (as described on the website) and despite having booked a superior room, we were given a standard room and no refund or acknowledgment of the £100 price difference… On the plus side, Uppsala is absolutely lovely! Some staff were absolutely wonderful, others quite ignorant and unwilling to help, for example trying to get vegan butter/margarine for breakfast was straightforward on some days, on others impossible.

Close to every where we wanted to see in Uppsala

Classic old hotel- had nice size room with a view of the river and cathedral. rooms and public spaces have been updated- but liked the ambience, and a friendly staff. Hotel only has a few parking spaces on site- but a garage option is just down the street. Lots of dining and shopping options around. Hotel had a decent breakfast. Only thing is no AC- and with summers getting hot- need to ask for a fan. It did cool off a bit late at night.

Honestly we booked this place by mistake, but I am so glad we made this mistake. Uppsala is a wonderful small town and this hotel is right in the heart of Uppsala. We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is top class, convenient from all key locations, walkable distance from train & bus, very well maintained property, staff was very friendly. If you are looking to stay in Uppsala, don't hesitate to stay here.
