The hotel was in ok condition, little hard for our driver to find. Had a generator so even with the power outages, the power stayed on.

There was no hot water come out at the night I stayed and bathroom wasn’t clean enough and little bit smelly.... seemed like you haven’t got any guest to the room long time ...

Nice and helpful staff. Spacious king size room. Clean room. Nice food. Good view of the sea from the 4th floor restaurant. But construction work on the opposite building.

This property was certainly great value for money. Manager Janak, front desk assistant Rifaz and Sam the bellman were quite friendly and helpful. Ceylon City Hotel will certainly my fchoice of accommodation on future trips to Colombo.

Clean and comfortable hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Is located south of the main hustle and bustle of Colombo, which we appreciated as it was very quiet. You can get a tuk tuk from end of the hotel's road to the main part of Colombo for 300 rupees; much preferable to staying amongst the constant stream of traffic and tooting horns of the centre.

Compared to other hotels in Colombo this hotel is ok, for this price this is one of the best but its a bit lower standard for a three star hotel. Hotels are expensive in colombo so this hotel is cheaper compared to other hotels of the same standard. Hotel is in between Galle Road and marine drive close to Majestic city, so the location is convenient. Hotel offer fast wifi and 24 hour room service

Good hotel in a good location. staff are very friendly they offered late checkout free of charge since my flight was in evening. The only negative thing was the cleanses of the toilet specially the corners of the shower area. Food is tasty and cheaper compared to other hotels in Colombo

The Hotel was clean, and the staff were very good and professional. The main shortcoming was that the room was quite small, and therefore not value for money. Two people cannot walk simultaneously next to the bed; it is tight even for one person . Having said that, if I were travelling by myself, I would stay there because a known place is better than an unknown one.

Great staff and nice food plus accommodation friendly. Nice for family stay. Keep it on your list to sri lanka.

Good hotel and reasonable price

First impressions of the hotel was rather drab as the hotel is situated in an alley, but the hotel staff and room comfort more than made up for it. I found baby cockroaches hiding behind furnitures, and my room safe did not work. Of the 7 days I was there, I found my backpack was ransacked on the first day by the cleaning staff. Nothing was lost but still left a very bitter taste in my mouth. Hotel breakfast was very simple, but the curries and dahl was amazing. Fresh and refreshing coconut juice every morning is definitely better than a cup of coffee. Tuktuks are plenty at the main road 1 minute walk from the hotel. If a driver does not know where the hotel is, just tell them to drive to Keels Super (a supermart) on Marine Drive, and turn and drive up into Upatissa road. If that does not work, tell them to drive to Majestic City (a mall) and the hotel is about 600m south. Overall, I would rate the hotel 3.5 out of 5. A definite come back if I'm on a budget.

Friendly staff in a clean, well maintained hotel. Location was a bit out of town with limited restaurants/cafes nearby, so it was a bit of a walk to find somewhere suitable to eat.

Sri Lanka don't have a no public smoking policy so specify a non smoking room if it bothers you

the hotel is new but it was easy to lead the tuk tuk drivers to where it's located. no view to be expected from the room at least mine because it was ground floor. the staff were very nice and friendly.
