This is a brand new hotel but with a major flaw in the design: huge expanses of glass in every direction meaning that on a hot day it gets very hot inside. I can see the attraction of making the most of the views, although why it needed a scenic lift facing the rear and the most drab view of car parks and buildings is beyond me, but this is really the worst example of bad design, totally unsuited to raising temperatures. Even with the aircon on you have to close all curtains when the sun hits the windows. Otherwise a standard modern hotel. Very helpful staff, particularly at reception where they make sure they warn you about the scenic lift which might take people with vertigo by surprise.

We stayed in Cherbourg before a ferry home after a 2 week tour of Brittany. The hotel is new and clean, staff friendly and helpful. We had a large room on the 6th floor overlooking the harbour so we could see all of the comings and goings of the fishing boats. We didn't use the hotel restaurant as there were quite a few seafood restaurants along the harbour. The ferry terminal is about 5 mins drive away so it's a good stop if you're here to catch a ferry but sadly Cherbourg itself isn't worth a visit

Very central hotel, not far from the ferry, close to the centre of town and all the restaurants. Think all the rooms had views of the quay.

Great location to visit the city and to go to ferry

Modern hotel, rooms well appointed. A short walk from the town centre, and a large shopping centre right next door.car parking is secure and free. Staff were very welcoming. Would recommend this hotel if you are staying in the Cherbourg area and is about 6 minute drive from the ferry terminal too.

Close to town centre and ferries very pleasant

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very clean, beautiful room with a great view. Ordered room service, but didn’t like the food (tomato pasta with raw salmon and a lot of water at the bottom).

Travelled up from the Vendee on Thursday afternoon for a 12:00 sailing from Brittany ferries on Friday. The hotel is very close to the ferry port and also very near the harbour.

Very convenient to the Brittany Ferry terminal. Extremely clean and comfortable rooms. We ordered the room service breakfast which was all cold foods and nothing special. Restaurant was ok, tiny portions and flavorless. I would definitely go elsewhere for food and drinks.

It was just ok. Not an amazing place as the 9.4 rating would suggest. Room was clean and comfortable and location is extremely convenient if you're getting the ferry. I'd recommend the hotel but I wouldn't say it was amazing.

Perfrct hotel cery close to rhe ferry terminal and city centre

Choose this hotel as a stop overnight stop, before boarding our ferry back to England. Beautiful clean modern hotel. We had dinner at the hotel great food. Staff nice, we did have to find a staff for a drink at the bar. I notice a few people waiting at the bar and walked away because there was no bar staff.

Absolutely one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The location was perfect after arriving from Guernsey at 17.00 it’s only 10 minutes from harbour. Lots of places in walking distance for dinner and drinks. Super shopping locations a short drive up the road. Cherbourg is not so hectic as St Malo so a great option from the Channel Islands for a break.

Spacious, comfy room. Beautiful views of a charming location. The worst pillows in France. Seriously, though. Its a great location, very convenient to shops and delicious room service. Just bring your own pillow, maybe.

A beautifully located hotel right in the centre of Cherbourg. Friendly staff. Room was bigger than normal and had great facilities.
