Wonderful host and situated central old city but in a quiet area. A true Thai experience, amazing authentic accomodation.

We loved the Chiang Mai Summer Resort. The room was lovely, with a comfortable bed, nice bathroom and very pleasant deck where we relaxed (sometimes with the resident friendly cat). The laundry service was a definite plus. We also liked that it was equipped with a fridge and microwave -- handy when we brought leftovers home after our Thai cooking class. Png and the other staff were very friendly and helpful. The courtyard was also very nice, although the fresh water might encourage some of the mosquitoes that we saw around. It's also in a great location, in the old city. Ask for directions to the nearby night market. And lots of interesting temples are nearby. On the whole we'd highly recommend staying here.

This place was amazing. We had one of four private villas on the property. They each have slightly different amenities. We had a fridge, balcony, sitting area and microwave. Others have a full kitchen or living room, etc. All have microwave, fridge, kettle, free coffee, bottled water and instant noodles. The location is on a side street, within a gated property. It was quite secure and quite. We arrived at 5am and emailed the lady in charge. She responded promptly and checked us in at 6am. Someone is not available 24/7 as there isn't a front desk.Everyday we left our dirty clothes in a designated area and when we returned, they were hanging clean on the clothes line, all free. The villas are in the classic Thai style, elevated on stilts and made of wood. We had a private bathroom and A/C. They also provided insect repellent and a mosquito coil for the room. The only thing I didn't like were the ants. We woke up one night to ants on a piece of fruit we failed to put away. The ants were annoying the rest of the stay. There are also cats on the property. They belong to the owner. They aren't too bad. Occasionally try to hide in your room but easily shooed and non-violent. The hostess allowed us to check out at our convenience. Toward the end, the other villas opened up. She asked us if we wanted to try one of the other ones. The bed was amazingly comfortable as well. Great location within the walls of old city as well. Walking distance to weekend markets.

This was a traditional Thai home at one time so it gives one a feeling of a more authentic stay. Support from the manager is minimal and there is no lobby or front desk.

This place was really cool and cute; it felt a little like a tree house. We stayed in room 3, considering there are only 4 total. It was "off the beaten path" of a regular hotel stay and was close to authentic for me. I enjoyed my stay. The owner is super sweet and helped us with things to do in the area. The mosquito nets were appreciated and necessary. There was a cute nook next to the bedroom and was serene. There was a little mishap at the very end of our stay with the shower but nothing that was anyone's fault.
