This staff at this hotel were fantastic - very friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make the stay an enjoyable one.
We booked the adjoining Superior Rooms (with separate living room) in the older historical building (be careful, the room descriptions on Expedia were mixed up - the Superior Rooms in the historical building would be my choice over the Classic Rooms in the new building - both are great, but I would definitely pay the premium for the older historical building as it is much more charming and the rooms (and washrooms) are larger).
This suite was very spacious for me, my wife and our two pre-teen girls. The washrooms were large and there was a lot of natural light.
Having the extra living area which connected the two separate rooms/washrooms was fantastic. It opens to a large private balcony. This private space allows you to move between rooms/washrooms with privacy, etc. This living area is normally common area if the rooms are rented individually. Would have been better to have had a TV in the living area but no big deal as we were out all day anyways.
Restaurant was great - food was delicious and service was the best of any restaurants we visited in Italy. My daughters (who are picky eaters) rated it as their favourite and insisted that we have dinner there each night. The hotel is a popular wedding/party venue for locals - re-enforcing the fact that the food and service are great.
