Quiet when we went

Was there for only one night on a business trip and I really didn’t want to leave. Excellent location and service.

A very nice guesthouse in a good location but not overlooking the beach. The staff were very accommodating and it’s furnished to a high standard.

We enjoyed our short stay at Scallop Guest Lodge. We were notified in advance that we needed to check in at the Periwinkle Lodge around the corner so this wasn't a problem. The local beach is an easy walk but we drove to the centre of Plettenburg Bay for the evening. The hotel is the right side of town to visit the Robberg reserve. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was great, with its own patio terrace and an outdoor shower!

Great stay at scallop lodge. When we arrived we were directed to another guest lodge where we had to pick up our keys. The guest house was very secure with lots of security. The room was a very good size with a patio with seating outside and also an outdoor shower. Lots of information about things to do in the local area. There is a nice restaurant within walking distance but to get to the main high street you would need to drive or grab a taxi. Overall it was a very good value for money

Only complaint: pillows in room 2 need replacement.

Upgraded to sea view room.When we arrived it was cold but fire in room,underfloor heating in bathroom made a lovely welcome.Clean,comfortable and attention to detail made big impact. Breakfast superb with lots of choice and beautifully presented.Manager,Pascalette was friendly. Without being intrusive.Wonderful introduction to South Africa

Excellent stay in this boutique hotel. Beautiful hotel with great decor. Very clean and comfortable. All the amenities you could need: wifi, pool, delicious breakfast. Nice common area and terrific hotel staff who helped arrange taxis and suggested dinner and activities. Very safe and underground parking worked perfectly. Located close to the main town without being directly on a busy street. Highly recommend this beautiful and very comfortable and relaxing hotel! Must stay!

Stunning hotel a little out of town so you need to taxi or drive to dinner but great spot. Hotel is 5*

A estadia foi incrível, o hotel é extremamente limpo, a equipe muito educada, o ambiente do hotel é excelente, as acomodações perfeitas, o café é delicioso e as comodidades maravilhosas!

Tolles Hotel. Zum Strand mit dem Auto 5 Minuten. Zu Fuß 20 minuten. Super Frühstück. Leider im Zimmer Nr. 5 ist der Türstopper an einer ungünstigen Stelle und hat beim nächtlichen Gang ans stille Örtchen schmerzhaft hallo gesagt. Tolles Bad mit zusätzlicher Dusche im Freien 👍. Kleine Terrasse. Bett top

We would go there anytime again. This is s beautiful, well cared guest lodge were employees are super friendly and helpful with activity and restsurant selection - a special thank you goes to Shirley for her excellent recommendation.
