This hotel is in the perfect location to visit the wall, the cathedral, and the main historic area. The staff were so friendly and helped us with anything we needed. Our room was very comfortable and I appreciated the great shower.

great boutique hotel, small and quaint

Keeping in mind that this is a small family run hotel in the Avila old town I am giving it my highest rating. This is not an international style 5 star, so don’t expect that. First the staff, some of which I presume are the owners, (José, Ricardo, Diego, Victor and one whose name I missed) were extremely helpful and friendly. It is clean, comfortable and quiet. The location is excellent, next to the Avila cathedral in the center of the old town. Everything is walking distance. Breakfast is European style, coffee , breads, cold cuts and cheese, very adequate for me, additional $. The restaurant has mixed reviews in google but my meal was very good and priced accordingly, no complaints. Nice wine list as well. There is WiFi which worked well, TV so-so but who’s here to watch tv? Parking is also additional $12 per night, but literally next door. Be advised that driving to the hotel is tricky. You will receive an email with detailed driving instructions. If you are good at following the instructions precisely you will arrive at the hotel parking. If you don’t, be prepared to drive around in circles for a while. So, in summary a good clean friendly place exceptionally well located with reasonable prices.. if I ever return I’ll stay her. Las Cancelas was a unique rather old fashioned Spanish hotel next to the Cathedral and had updated bathrooms . The room is very spacious, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. In spite of being downtown the place was very quiet and the staff friendly. The breakfast was very good and not pricey. I would definitely stay there again.

What a great little hotel! Room was clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and spacious with a good shower and historic touches such as antique light switches and exposed beams in the ceiling. Location by main gate and cathedral was perfect. Loved having a balcony style window that opened, overlooking the little narrow street. A dinner restaurant of the same name (owned by the hotel?) was located across the street in a cute alcove and looked appealing, though we only tried the bar, which was great. El hotel muy bueno, el olor del hotel es increíble y delicioso cómo los mejores perfumes. Habitaciones impecables . Ubicación perfecta al interior de la ciudad . Puedes caminar todo Ávila con tranquilidad y comodidad. Totalmente recomendado

Hotel ideally placed for walking Avila. Would not find parking without video so worth paying attention to that

The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, probably due to piping or the fact that it had no window. The service was overall okay but not particularly attentive. There is no lift to the upper floors so anyone with mobility issues will struggle.

Hotel is Clean and convenient. Highly recommended.

It was a little difficult to find the Hotel as the satnav kept telling us we had arrived but we could not see the Hotel, it turned out to be the other side of the wall and the only way to drive there was through no entry signs.The hotel was very comfortable although it would have been good to have a fridge in the room.

This hotel was the most charming, best accomation, and best location of my entire trip to Spain! And an adventure in driving, for sure. The hotel is located inside the walls of the city and is so charming, and nice inside. The beds, bathroom, towels, and decor were ver nice. The hotel send me a link with a video about parking at the hotel which I was most grateful that I watched, as driving to the hotel was most tricky through the very narrow pedestrian alley and so close to the fron door. But there was someone right there to open the gates of the parking and she was so very nice to us. It is really close to the cathedral and access to the city wall walk. Very pleasant day there in Avila.

We loved this quiet character hotel with modern facilities, WiFi and private open air locked car park. Situated centrally, we were even able to pop out later in the evening to see Avila illuminated. Excellent cuisine and very friendly and helpful staff.

El hotel queda adentro de las murallas, muy bonito y antiguo, muy bien ubicado, el, servicio excelente, las habitaciones amplias. Lo recomiendo.

O Hotel é muito bem localizado, pertinho da Catedral. O quarto é simples, porém aconchegante. Banheiro pequeno, mas bem limpo. Não tem elevador e fiquei no segundo piso, um problema para subir com malas. O anúncio dizia que tinha estacionamento, contudo é bem complicado chegar até ele, além do valor cobrado ser de 12 Euros por dia. Parei o carro fora da muralha.
