Nice place

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. It's a stunning collection of architecture from different periods in the history of Nepal. The staff were so helpful and friendly throughout, and the restaurants were excellent

Did not live up to expectations

The hotel is beautiful located in a quieter neighborhood in Katmandu.Anish at the front desk and every employee at the hotel went above and beyond! The restaurant was delicious and the waiters were very accommodating! We enjoyed a wonderful massage at the spa! We definitely recommend this hotel!

We had a lovely stay and week at Baber Mahal! It was our sanctuary in the middle of Kathmandu which is a very high pace city. Staff was lovely and the restaurants on sight were outstanding too Can highly recommend

The royalty at its best. This place is so beautiful. The architecture the decoration, the designs, the stories that every area told you. Its a storybook setting for travelers. The room was so beautifully designed, patio had so much seating space. Restaurants had such great tasting food. The folk dance dinner event was mindblowing. We had a great time. Staff was so hepful in arranging our spa tratment and outdoor activities including money exchange. Very friendly and helpful. My stay was for 3 days and there was always some fun event going on. The art gallery to shopping at babar mahal is definitely a must. Lots of beautiful photo moments. I definitely would go again.

Everyone was extremely kind and helpful, the room was beautiful and the breakfast included had a ton of variety. The only issue I had was getting someone to pick up my laundry to have it cleaned but it came back promptly the next day smelling great and neatly folded.

I had a very good stay at Baber Mahal Vilas. The hotel is safe and is centrally located in Kathmandu. The staff are very kind and helpful. The facility has very good restaurants. Getting around is straightforward and taxis are relatively cheap. I expect I will stay there again when I plan to visit Kathmandu in the spring of 2025.

Beautiful heritage property with lots of interesting quirks and fab decor. Loved that we had several dining options. Local craft markets within the grounds of the hotel was such a bonus. Staff were attentive though on one occasion one or two at reception could have done better. Overall very enjoyable stay and wish we could have experienced it for more than one night. Definitely recommend.

The property has an unique architecture, you feel transported back in time. The staff was polite and kind, sharing with interest about their culture and traditions. What a lovely experience!

This hotel was amazing! The architecture was beautiful, the service was excellent and our large room was magnificent! We would stay here again if we were ever to travel to Kathmandu again.

All the staff were welcoming and informative, the breakfast was excellent and the staff there were great as well. It has a sauna and a pool which we utilized. It's a beautiful place tucked away from the traffic and noise of Kathmandu.

Excellent option

The hotel had its charm and it was pleasant being there but it wasn’t close to anything and the area isn’t clean, sidewalks are broken up and the traffic was nerve racking. The staff were very helpful and breakfasts were very good.

A charming hotel with charming staff. Lots of dark wood and glass chandeliers, beautifully decorated and very comfortable rooms, all in excellent condition. Part of a complex with restaurants and shops, so plenty of choice. Friendly and helpful staff completes a memorable stay. Convenient location too.

The Baber Mahal Vilas is in a quiet neighborhood away from downtown. There isn’t much in the immediate area, but the restaurants in the attached shopping mall are all pretty good. We had massages, which were very good - just be sure to check that you get the time you paid for. We were shorted about 20 minutes, and the hotel management resolved the issue to our satisfaction.
