The staff were welcoming and courteous and the hotel itself is located in a great location in Besancon's centre-ville

In the middle of the pedestrian zone, this place was really nice. Access by car was a bit awkward due to many barriers to access the zone, but once we were in, it was great. Nice (if somewhat dated) amenities in vintage surroundings, gorgeous dining room, excellent breakfast, lots of things to do all around. Very friendly staff. Definitely recommend!

Unfortunately the Wi-Fi reception was very poor. The staff were professional, but not particularly warm or welcoming. The exception was the person who did the breakfast. She was very friendly and kind.

Convenient far edge of city stopping point, if passing through. Well connected to historic centre by modern tram service a few humdred metres away from hotel.

Air conditioning was not working although the hotel have it and it was 30 Celsius. Stuff explained that the hot weather is only for 2 days... But we stayed at the 2 hot days. Was difficult to sleep. Bed are not confortable.

I was so impressed with the 10/10 reviews and the huge focus of car parking and breakfast that I booked this hotel; only to find that both of these involved considerable extra payments. Also no bar no restaurant, no air conditioning, and no room service is not 10/10. It would also have been helpful to have been told in advance that the route to the hotel involves more obstacles than the Grand National. There’s a secret passage that is only known to the locals.

The room was beautiful, parking was easy - I reserved ahead of time and the front desk was personable and welcoming.

Excellent location. Great decor throughout. Reception very helpful throughout our stay. Very good selection at breakfast and option to have petit dejourner express if you're not a big breakfast eater.

Great location, cozy hotel, very quirky. Rooms are tiny but adequate for a night or 2. Breakfast was expensive so we didn’t book it and went to a bakery across the street for amazingly fresh tasty pastry and freshly made tea and coffee for half the price of breakfast in the hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely will stay again.

I requested a step-through shower and I got it. The room was spacious by European standards. AARP would approve of the room appointments with room to move about, grab bars in the shower and by the raised toilet. A great buffet breakfast which helped me gain a few pounds.

This is a very nice hotel located perfectly and centrally to restaurants, arts offerings, cathedrals and churches and shopping. The staff was terrific. They spoke English very well, but what I liked was their patience with letting me speak my French because I wanted to keep improving my French. Sometimes staff and merchants will switch to English, not out of being offended by the imperfection of ones use of their language, but out of a sense of being helpful and/or efficient and clarity of communication. The staff was also very helpful in arranging cabs, recommending restaurant areas, etc. The hotel room was very comfortable, including easily controlled temperature levels, and clean. The cleanliness and orderliness of the room was kept that way daily by the friendly housekeeping service. One small thing: hallway carpets seemed a bit stained in place, as if there had been a water leak, but the carpets were clean. I would absolutely recommend this property. I even liked its funky modern decor of the lobby.

Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast very good but could do with more than one coffee making machine. Very pleasant room spoilt by flaking paint work on bathroom ceiling. Parking and location very good.
