Great stay. Definitely more of a family vibe than a stay for a single individual but the place is incredible.

Beautiful resort, comfortable room, lots of amenities and delicious food. But finding our way around was very difficult, and there were no clear directions how to get to the main check in lobby nor how to get from there to our building. Very confusing layout. There was a lovely museum along the walkway between buildings, so that made the long walks less frustrating when trying to find our way. Parking is ridiculously expensive, yet there's no good way to get there except by driving. I would not recommend parking there if you're staying more than one day. The best part of the location were the canals of ocean water running throughout the property, complete with fish and sharks swimming around freely. All staff were also very friendly.

Overall the property is great! The location is beautiful, but some of the things on the property is dated, and not much good restaurants on the property. Depending on the location, it's quite a walk from hotel room to the lobby and parking lot.

Hilton Waikaloa is a very beautiful property that offers lots of different amenities and fun for the whole family. Unfortunately our stay over Mothers Day Weekend was not the best experience the tram had no air conditioning and the boats where not operating during our stay. Not to mention that the staff at the Ocean Tower desk where quite rude while checking in because we where locals. The staff at waters edge buffet where amazing and kind but the services at the lagoon rental was sub par we waited in front of the desk there for 15 mins while two employees where on their phones before being helped. Ocean tower has lots of upgrades but the room we where in had a old mirror with spotting and was not what we where expecting for a $400.00 a night stay.

Pool and surroundings are great. Food is overpriced and mediocre, the tram is painfully slow.

It was the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen, it was full of harmony and beauty by the ocean!

We were disappointed in the condition of the rooms (non-functioning electrical sockets, worn pads and bed sheets) and the poor service (I would order one caff coffee and they’d send decaf; I would order decaf and they sent… creamer packets). The grounds are beautiful but they lack sufficient staffing that one expects from resort prices. We are willing to splurge on places like this occasionally, but when an acai bowl sets us back $18, we expect reliable facilities and good service.

Environment and rooms were phenomenal, however the boats to travel around the resort were down and the monorails broke down once in awhile making it a hike to get around. The Wife and I had a great time just needed to fix the transportation

This is a nice place, however the 55 dollar person breakfast is not worth it. Be prepared to do alot of walking if you dont use the tram No microwave in the room...thats 30 more dollars

Room 3102 was oldest on property. No where to plug in USB devices. The outlet at the sink was broken and did not work. The hairdryer when turned on smelled like it was burning. The check-in took 30 minutes and I was third in line! Arrived at 5:30. Two staff checking people in. I got my key at 5:59. Sat down on floor while waiting. Staff at Hilton Honors desk saw line backing up and did nothing or was not empowered to do anything. After a half mile walk from the front of Waikoloa to Ocean Tower check-in desk I had hoped for a quick and easy check-in which did not happen.

Longest checkin I’ve ever experienced at the counter. Very friendly. Super slow! Then got horrible directions to find our room. Room stinks like old carpet. Stained lamp shades, dated furniture. Room looks clean, doesn’t smell like it.

If you are with kids avoid Ocean tower, there is too much walking and you are not going to like that walk when your kid is tired and cranky. Tram is a sham. We got an Ocean front view property and the view was great especially the sunset. But that also got ruined on our 3rd day onward when the room above us got smokers.our mornings and evening balcony seatings got spoiled after that. I am not going to touch the cost of item, everything in Hawaii is costly but be ready for a surprise. More than that everything closes around 4. There is only one restaurant (Nui) opened till late evening but with only Pizza and Pasta for kids. Only reason we were able to manage was because of near by queens land market. I can go on and on but i wish we had knew these things in advance to make conscious decisions especially afters paying thousands of grand on total trip. Should have stayed only for couple of days and definitely not Ocean tower.

I only have 3 complaints… 1. the check in people at the main lobby are the most unhelpful people ever. We stayed in the ocean tower and had a heck of a time figuring out how to get there, even after asking the main lobby attendants no one told us we had to get there by tram so we drove around for 30 minutes trying to find our way, finally found it after being exhausted from all day travel. 2. Eating at the resort is EXPENSIVE! We ate 1 meal there, horrible service. We ate off resort the rest of the stay. 3. Tram is slow, it’s faster to walk… it’s .52 miles from the main lobby to ocean tower. The boat hardly runs and stopped working on our ride, had to reserve it back to boarding area. Otherwise, it was a great stay! So much to do especially for families with children. I can’t wait to take my kids next time!!!

First time staying here. Went with just my 9 year old son and myself. I loved everything about this resort. Everything was so beautiful and so much to do. My only couple of upgrades I would love to see, is the rooms updated a little, more affordable restaurant options (not fast food). Other than that I would 100% stay here again.

The property is absolutely breathtaking. By far the most upscale resort our family has stayed at. Immaculate grounds, can't beat the views, secluded but convenient location. Queen shops is a must!

Parking is very far from the hotel lobby. So far they offer a tram, but that is slow, requires 2 steps to get in/out and runs infrequently (when we arrived we had to wait 12 minutes). Be prepared to pay an extra $47 resort fee, which doesn’t include parking or any food (although they did give us each a single bottle of water at check-in). Parking is an additional $48/day, which is probably more than you’d pay per day to rent a vehicle - so probably don’t drive here. Finally: since no food is included be prepared to leave your wallet open. Pizzas from the Italian restaurant on property cost $74/ea. But they’ll kindly let you order a half pizza for half as much. No wonder we saw a Domino’s delivery truck at the front entrance!
