I try very hard not to write negative reviews about hotels, in 30 years of extensive travel this is only my 3rd time. I try to deal with the staff and then the management to try to have issued resolved but this hotels had poor communication, especially from any supervisors on management! We stayed in a beautiful room but had a great deal of trouble getting into it. Took them for ever to prepare the room and made us wait until 5 mins before 4pm before they would check us in even though we spoke to a "supervisor" who assured us they would arrange an earlier check in so we could meet friends in Fort Lauderdale. We missed that meeting! We struggled with the cleanliness of the pool and spa, had a hard time getting towels for the pool and worst of all at 11pm when we wanted to crawl into bed we noticed the sheets were filthy! Dirt on the sheets and lots of dust/debris where your feet go and someone else's hair all over the bedding! We of course immediately called the front desk and no answer, we called for 10 minutes straight with no answer, finally I go dressed and went to the lobby and of course nobody around. After walking around looking for someone with no luck I gave up and went back to our room where we had to sleep fully clothed on the top of bed. Poor, customer service and issues with front desk staff from the moment we arrived. I called the manager and left 3 messages with No response. Even called the Grand Beach head office and send 2 emails also with NO response
