I love hiking road nearby this hotel.

Very helpful and friendly staff. We only stayed one night but it would have been to explore and hike in the local area.

The rooms are small. People were friendly but few sleek English. The breakfast was very good!

Everything is great

Always love staying in this hotel, particularly because of the fabulous breakfast and excellent restaurant. Only issue we had is trying to get in when we arrived, it's not easy to ring when the number is German and we only have an English mobile. Please provide a WHATSAPP number for people to ring, it is much easier. We will stay here again.

Friendly place. Wifi wasn’t working in our room but they sorted it out. There was no curtain/blind in our room so I hung a towel over the window. The restaurant Lindenhof is about 250m away and fabulous. We ate dinner and had breakfast there. Outstanding. I’d return just for the food here. No tea/coffee in rooms but there’s a kitchen where you help yourself to tea/coffee/snacks etc.

We had a great stay at the Gästehaus Abtei Sayn. The staff is super friendly. When we told them that we are driving down from London so will be checking in quite late , they made arrangements without any hesitation and made sure that we are comfortable and gave clear instructions on how to reach there and get the keys. The room was spacious and clean in a beautiful location. Very peaceful and calm. Breakfast is down the road at the nearby cafe and it was delicious. The table will be ready by the time we arrive with coffee , bread basket, fresh juice, crumble , chocolates and smoothies. Cooked breakfast order will be taken in once we settle in our tables. This hotel deserves a gold star! We felt the whole experience amazing and would love to go back again. Regards, Reni and family

I stayed for 1 night, traveling alone for a short sight seeing trip of the region. I loved this hotel. It was a little hard to find. I loved the park-like setting around the Abby and the cemetery/memorial garden. Had to wait a few minutes to be let in, and the hallway was dark when I got back from dinner. The building has a different feel since there is no front desk, it was very quiet and peaceful. The room was basic but clean and lovely. The bathroom was small but also clean. Breakfast at the restaurant nearby was great. I had dinner there too and it was delicious. Service at the restaurant was very good. I felt far removed from my regular life, it was a wonderful little vacation.

Best Breakfast ever was at the Lindenhof restaurant which is free with the room. It was a work of art! No kidding.

Very clean and quiet. A short walk to the park and town

2nd time we have stayed here and won't be our last. There is no reception at this quirky hotel, if you call the phone number given someone will come and let you in. Rooms are basic but very comfortable with complimentary bottle of water. There is a kitchen where you can make your own hot drinks (no kettle in room). Breakfast is a 3 min walk through a parkland to its sister restaurant and is a gourmet experience with several courses. The area the hotel is set in is very pretty and so peaceful.

A short family getaway to finish off the summer. The property is located in a valley with fantastic walking/ hiking paths. The family room was a good size with separate room for the kids. The breakfast and service was wonderful. Will come back again.

Great place to stay

We loved the quirkiness of the accommodation, we had a very spacious bedroom and huge en-suite bathroom and were right next door to the 'kitchen' where you could make tea & coffee (although we had brought our own kettle). A short walk to the sister restaurant where we enjoyed a gourmet breakfast. We will be returning.

This was such a great spot to stay. It is nestled in the mountain, had a wonderful breakfast, and a beautiful setting.
