The hotel rooms need an update. They look a bit shabby but clean. The breakfast pool and staff are excellent. The views from the rooms and pool are amazing.

I stayed for couple nights. Property had 3 elevators, only one was operating properly. Poor breakfast, even other pousadas offering better food. Room was too old and requires maintenance. A/c Device was working but with packing tape holding a flap. Swimming pools are so small for the numbers of guests. Not valuable for the price . It was missing a bath towel , I had to call the front desk twice to have it.

I book a room with twin bed ocean view. They put in couple bed, on first floor right by the side of a noise place called “ Mercado dos peixes “ the internet in room didn’t work. They said someone was coming to fix it and the person never came back. We called and even went to talk someone front desk. But the person said there was no more people working to check the Internet. In top of that they foi dot change us to a different room. We missed a day of work without internet and we explained how important we needed internet in room for work. They didn’t do nothing about it. Then, finally changed us to a different room. Where internet works but the door wasn’t closing. And we could hear even more noise from outside. They just put us to level 3. No difference betsides rhe internet. I don’t recommend.

Breakfast was subpar ( juice tasted like water, food was eatable. Long walk to Beira mar. When I was there in March was hot as hell ( meaning: I was drenched in sweat). Beautiful view, but noisy outside from the fish market

Property is nicely located. However, the hotel is dated and the employees are extremely rude and careless. If you are lucky enough to get a room, high floor, facing Iracema beach you are good to to. Else, you will face the "favela" and port of Mucuripe.. Just beware of what you are getting into. Overall, very disappointed!!

NIGHMARE CHECK-IN: Having stayed in 2007 for 45 days at Iate Plaza Hotel, we returned for 16 days. Upon check-in on Feb 17 at 11:50PM Wesley Nascimento (front-desk night auditor/clerk) irresponsibly issued several keys of defective rooms that were terribly maintained. In one of rooms was already occupied by another guess. Yes, this irresponsible employee gave me the key to a room that was occupied by a NAKED MEN who was passed out (perhaps drunk) in a couch as soon as we entered the unit well passed midnight. The standard of care/occupancy of some units made our entire stay very stressful). For the first week we were UNWELCOME and discriminated by the entire staff (gossipers who who were too busy to do their work) . I took the time to document every occurrence with videos and photos in case they turned against my wife and I which they actually did. Here's a laundry list of blatant defects: broken door knobs, rusted and noisy hinges, gaps between the front door of the units and the doorjamb with a space enough for someone to easily pry open the door and enter the room; dirty towels with lipstick stains, broken bathroom faucet handles. We changed rooms 4 times. The ENTIRE hotel staff (including the "security", doorman and restaurant servants) were confrontational and made us a feel threatened when they learned that I would dispute the charges with AMEX and report their horrible conduct to the administration which I did in a meeting who acknowledged their wrongdoing.

This property was not what was shown in the pictures. The property was in bad condition, next to a fish market. Very expensive and creepy. No security either

Iate Plaza is a great hotel and very well located!

This hotel has the best beach and port view in Fortaleza.

Pool very nice Confortable Location is ok but not very excelent

O hotel é bem espaçoso. Pegamos andar alto conforme solicitado e pago no ato da reserva. O café da manhã é muito bom e tem opção, mas é sempre a mesma coisa. Então, se vc for passar 7 dias lá, como o nosso caso, é bom saber variar para não enjoar das coisas. Nosso quarto até tinha vista para o mar, mas era mais voltado para o porto. O melhor lado é o voltado para o mercado dos peixes. Em compensação, chegamos 2h antes do check-in e eles liberaram o early check-in por haver disponibilidade, então não tenho do que reclamar (não se pode ter tudo nessa vida!). O rapaz (acho que concierge ou gerente) que realizou nosso check-in, foi super solícito. Explicou as regras do hotel antes da gente assinar, falou tudo o que havia no hotel e o horário de funcionamento. Gostamos demais do atendimento. Mas outro dia havia um rapaz mais novo na recepção, onde após não encontrarmos água no mercadinho, pedirmos gentilmente para o rapaz avisar alguém para repor, ele de forma arrogante disse para comprarmos água no bar porque lá vendia também. Ficamos tão chocados com a rispidez dele que não compramos mais no mercadinho dia nenhum. No geral, o hotel é ótimo e voltaríamos novamente. Achamos uma pena o elevador panorâmico estar em manutenção, passamos longos dias sonhando com os vídeos que poderíamos ter feito com a vista que ele proporciona.

Meu ar condicionado estava vazando e respingando na cama e a manutencao demorou 1 dia inteiro para fazer o reparo, cama de solteiro dava pra sentir as molas, flexibilidade em horarios foi pessima pois fizemos check-in de noite por conta do voo e nao tiveram consideracao em ao menos realizar um check-out mais flexivel por conta do voo de volta mais tarde e de quinta-feira para sexta-feira ( 9-10/10) um barulho infernal que nao deixou ninguem dormir onde varios hospedes reclamaram na mesma noite por conta de um reparo no hotel. Para cobrarem sao bem eficientes mas para prestar um serviço deixam a desejar. Segunda vez que me hospedo no Iate Plaza mas dessa vez me decepcionou um pouco.
