One of the best experiences I've had with a rented accommodation.

Our stay at Ashby’s was lovely - best of class service from the super friendly and helpful hotel hosts, lovely area and fantastic room. Would love to come back and stay here.

What a great hotel. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and really helpful sorting parking and making up a pullout bed. The major benefit of this hotel is the great communal area that has a pool table air hockey table tennis, and a kitchen and bar area where you can bring your own food and drinks Which was great for our 2 teenagers. The rooms were lovely, really clean and comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again

Always a pleasure to stay at Ashby’s. Stayed here on numerous occasions including for a birthday!! Steve and Mubi were great at accommodating everything I needed including birthday decorations. The spa was lovely, hot tub extremely spacious set to the perfect temperature. Communal area had a wide array of games to play, great for some competitive fun! A lovely place for a little getaway! Overall an amazing experience as per usual! Cannot wait to book to stay again :)

From start to finish we had a great experience. Both Steve and Mubi are fantastic owners and went above to make sure that we had a great experience. The facilities with unexpected added extras was great and and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect close to town and the beach. I will be booking again and would recommend staying at Ashbys .

A really friendly welcome and tour of the quirky hotel was matched with a lovely clean and tidy room which had a cracking shower I’ll definitely stay here again

Found a gem with this one !! Gorgeous boutique hotel where the staff have all run off and abandoned the place so you can stay at a sensible price. This is now my no1 place to stay when travelling to the IOW (and that’s without using the sauna and hot tubs.) Steve and Mubi are great hosts and are doing a great job in covering for the missing staff ??

A really lovely place to stay!! The communal area was great with a large variety of games to play!! Did not use the spa facilities however Mubi did provide us a tour of these, the spa was to an exceptional standard! Will definitely look into booking next time I stay!! Both Steve and Mubi were lovely hosts. Very kind individuals. Look forward to staying with them again soon!

We had an amazing two-night stay at Ashbys and can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the owners, Steve and Mubi, made us feel incredibly welcome they were so friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. There’s so much to do at the hotel, we were genuinely impressed. The free pool table was a great touch and added to the relaxed, fun vibe of the place. But the real highlight for us was the spa and hot tub totally worth the money and a perfect way to unwind in the evenings. We used the spa both nights and loved every minute of it. Ashbys is a gem in Portsmouth comfortable, entertaining, and run by two wonderful hosts. We’ll definitely be back!

we booked because the listing implied it had a sauna but on investigation it was not included and required a significant additional payment and as the booking was non refundable there was no point to cancel. we did not go.
