Few words about this hotel. First i must say that the hotel was always clean and the breakfast service was great, besides that all was terrible, it felt like we were a target. They charged us for every moment. We order a room for 2 adults and a kid, we got a small queen bed for 3 of us, when we asked for extra bed, they charged us 15$ per night, when we lost a card key, they charged us for a 1000r...the toilet stopped working for 3 times.. the most strange thing was at the day we left , they called us at 0700 and woke us up just to ask if they can come to take the luggage.. it feel like they are hunting the guests..for us it was the worst hotel in srilanka..i would never recommend on it thats for sure

Interesting hotel. On the positive side the room was nice and clean with cosy decor suiting the mountains location. Bed was also comfortable. Staff at the restaurant and bar were all very friendly and efficient. Front desk staff at check in and out were not overly friendly (except the gentleman who showed us to our room), but that seems to be a trend in Sri Lankan hotels. Had dinner on site and it was nice meal (curry). Breakfast was average. It was cold during our stay and the heater near us caught fire at the power point which was very concerning, lucky my partner pulled it out before the fire spread. It could have just been bad luck but our concern was the building (newish looking) was made on the cheap. It was a windy night on our stay and there was gaps in the window seals allowing in outside air which fuelled our concern regarding the building standard. All in all we found this hotel a little strange, perhaps trying to be something it is not, it wasn’t terrible but nor is it somewhere I would want to return.

The hotel is average and service was poor. There are definitely more better places to stay which will give a wonderful experience of the lovely place

The room and balcony were excellent. I particularly liked the tea-making facilities in the room. The quality and selection of food in the evening and breakfast buffets was also very good, and the staff if anything were too attentive. Check-in was very lengthy but we appreciated the hot chocolate while we waited. The worst thing about the hotel is its location, about 3 miles from town. Even though we stayed over the Sinhalese new year, the whole place was strangely lacking in atmosphere - possibly the miles of empty corridors and the fact our room was a very long way from reception contributed to that feeling.

* Like: -- Location: You need to have a car to arrive there, it’s situated in the mountain area among local residents. View is good. -- Room: Room is super spacious with good view from the balcony. An electric fireplace can generate heat for the room. -- Staff: Friendly and respond quickly to our demands. -- Breakfast: Dining room is a little bit small but choice of food is multiple and delicious. Avoid the eat at the same time with the group guests. * Dislike: -- Heat generator: The heater is not powerful enough in the night because it’s cold at night in this area. -- Hot shower water: Shower water may not be hot enough if too many guests are using it at the same time. -- Bathtub: No bathtub in our room.
