Overall, I think the stay was pretty nice except for the constant smell from the toilet. We stayed at Elgin room and whether there's someone in the toilet or not, there is a constant smell coming from the toilet and it's even worse when you are using the toilet. For a hotel of this standard, I expect more from them.

Already booked 2 rooms for 3 adults and 3 children, each aged 4 years, 9 years and 16 years. when you get to the location you have to pay / add 400 ringgit for children aged 4 years and 9 years. Without extrabed additions. eat no rice, noodles or breakfast for Asians ... all western-style bread. want to ask for just replace fried rice, don't serve it

My husband and I arrived around 2 PM on a Sunday evening and checking in was a breeze. We were served some tea while waiting for our room so the wait wasn't that bad as we enjoyed it after a long day driving and visiting places while basking in the interior of the lobby. The garden was already abuzz with some wedding photoshoot so we decided to visit it the next day since evenings can be packed too. The staff in charge, Mr. Joe provided excellent service. We stayed at the Hyacinth room. I believe it was newly refurbished as it had a fresh coat of paint. No complaints. The only issue we had was the water heater in which the heat/temperature was not consistent and I wished the mattress was firmer. We visited the garden in the morning and it was a spectacle of flowers adorned with dew drops. Since it was a Monday morning, we had the whole garden to ourselves. Credits to the hardworking gardeners who maintain it. We then headed for our Western breakfast in which we could choose from the menu. We were told the menu has been added to provide a variety of choices. Compared to Smokehouse Fraser's Hill, I think I prefer this one for its garden and breakfast. However I prefer the interior of Fraser's Hill Smokehouse compared to this as it had more room for guests to hang around. As a whole, it was a pleasant stay.

Breakfast is good although at first have doubt whether the restaurant serve non-halal food for breakfast and it is important for muslims to get clarifications what is served for non-muslims as well. After good clarifications from restaurant manager and waiter that the chef will only serve and prepare halal food for breakfast to the muslim using separate utensils etc. because they serve bacon for non-muslims.

Actually we are booking for deluxe room but I was pregnant 8 month the management upgrade our room to suite room without any charge. We stay at suite room. It is the best babymoon experience I ever had. I also enjoy my maternity shoot only at the hotel area. Sure will come again with our little angel.

The stay was worth every $$ since it includes traditional English breakfast of freshly baked muffins, toast with butter and jam, and croissant was soft and warm. The meal followed by eggs, baked beans, bakes tomatoes, wild mushrooms and sausages. We were informed that only for breakfast the meal would be Halal (we are Muslims), we have opted to avoid any meat altogether but was still given chicken sausages. You just need to inform the butler/waiter and explain your conditions for no meat breakfast. In other note, we actually booked a deluxe room and was upgraded to a junior suite upon check-in. It was a nice gesture as we had to pass by the corridors leading up to our room on the 3rd floor overlooking the lush green and full of flower blooms of the beautiful garden. The room was sufficient with complimentary fruit basket. When we arrived in the evening, there were other guests having tea in the garden compound, one of them even had ukulele, so the ambience was lovely we also joined to have tea. Night time can be too quiet but we went down to the living hall and there were a few families there, so were assured that we weren't the only ones staying there. It was cold but there was no heater, so we just shut the windows and turned on the air purifier provided in the room.
