Everything was great except for a minor incident which happened during breakfast this morning (09/04/2017). The food was great, no doubt. We were well seated and I politely requested the male server to take a photo of us. Then the lady server interrupted, instructed the male server to do something else, and offered to take the photo herself. I definitely had no problem with that. I just got a bit confused, so I uttered "kamo sa" when what I was trying to say was to tend to what they have to do first because the photo op can wait anyway. The lady server was Quick to laugh and said, "Kita sa daw picturan." The male server didn't say anything, thanks to him. The lady server should have refrained from making any remarks even if it's only as light as 'just kidding' kind. Not all people appreciate that and sometimes a guest is not ready to receive such comments early in the morning. The lady server came off as offensive and judgmental without understanding the context of what I said. I didn't take note of the lady server's name, but I hope the management will provide a retraining course on etiquettes on serving guests well and what to and not to do and say in front of the guests.
Anyway, on a positive note, checking in and out of the hotel was a breeze. The rooms are spacious enough and the wifi is awesome. The group had no problem with the location since we're just from Cebu and we wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We all slept good and well through the night. We enjoyed the entertainment (live acoustic) provided while we went for a swim. The pool was A-okay; it was clean but felt something sharp bit our skin from time to time but no marks noted anyway. Overall, even with the incident that happened during breakfast, we had a great time. Thanks Marco Polo Plaza Cebu.
