The location is really strategic (close to the coffee shop, restaurant, street food (Nguyen Hue), Tranh, Notre Dame, Post Office, HC City Museum, etc. The rooms are super nice because the design is really simple but really works, All staff can speak English and are very good, highly recommended for those who want to visit Saigon.

The hotel is near the center, easy access, clean and new rooms. Extremely friendly staff. The most favorite point is there is a landscape terrace, which is suitable for BBQ parties. The special thing is that I have been staying for more than 1 hour but not being charged more like other normal hotels. Perfect!

The Dorm is situated beside Mon Hue Restaurant, across the Sheraton Hotel. There’s no signage outside but you have to look for the number “63” at the entrance of the building. You will need to climb up until you find the reception. At first, I thought I got lost as the fist couple floors do not show any signs of occupancy. My overall stay was delightful as the staff is very welcoming and accommodating. They are very attentive to their guests’ needs and always willing to assist. The rooftop is very cozy though they don’t seem to have hot showers, which is just fine. The location is ideal as it’s very convenient to get to the famous landmarks by walk.

It’s always nice and comfy staying at The Dorm. Checkin, checkout was quick. I stayed at Twins Room even though I was by myself and they guided me to the room with all information needed. Just one problem is that no hot water in bathroom which is very uncomfortable for me as I need to have shower with hot water. I came to ask receptionist and he told me that there’s nothing he could do (well, at least he should send someone to check and give me answer), he ended up offer me to boil water with the kettle but I refused as how long it’s gonna take to boil enough water for me to shower? It was about 12 midnight so I had shower with cold water and didn't bother him anymore. Anyway, the service is much better, and I will come back for sure!

I booked this place without expectation because i used to go to Layla Bar which is on 2nd floor and the building is very old. However, i picked it because of very good location for me and it turned out to be excellent stay. The lobby is simple yet beautiful. Shared bathroom is spacious and clean at all time. And especially the shampoo and shower gel smell amazing and quality, even better than many hotels. I upgraded my book from dorm to single room, it’s somehow small but enough for me. The bed is super comfort. Just one thing that I feel not good enough is check in and checkout. I came at 12pm to check in. And i do understand that standard check in time is 2pm. I walked in the lobby and said “hi” to the lady, she didn't say anything back, didn't ask me to take a seat. When i asked if i can check in, she seemed upset and said check in time is 2pm. I am myself is a hotelier, and working at 5 star hotel, and for me her explanation is not up to standard. I still gently asked to use the bathroom and get change as i had appointment. When i walked out of the lobby, receptionist didn't say goodbye as well. Same as checkout when the male staff seems disinterested in the guest. It’s such a failure if the guest has to greet the staff first. But other staffs were very nice and helpful. When i came back from my appointment to check in, they assisted me quickly and offered to show me around. Overall, i still think this place is worth money and staying, just need to improve more on staff service.

I would highly recommend this place. The staffs are so nice and friendly. The lobby looks so cool but unfortunately I did not have time to stay and have breakfast here. My room was clean and tidy. Nothing to complaint. 5⭐
