⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful stay with amazing service and view! We had an excellent stay at Hotel Hanabi Lake Toya. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room had a beautiful lake view, and we were lucky to experience the fireworks show right from the hotel, which made the evening extra special. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing — perfect for enjoying the beauty of Lake Toya. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area!

We had twin room with 2 beds and was big for Japanese Standard. It’s a little dated but clean. The location is pretty good. Car park lots were limited but we had no problems as it was off peak season. Lake Toya is just at the hotel and there’s fireworks every night which can be viewed from the back of the hotel along Lake Toya We were on the 5th floor, there were a bunch of super noisy tourists talking at the top of their voices along the hallway at midnight and whenever they are back to their rooms. It’s not the fault of the hotel.

Stayed for 6 nights and went skiing in Rutsusu daily which was only 35 min away. Excellent location on the lake. Onsen was fabulous at end of ski days with good skin products and massage chair. Half board included and food options though almost same daily had lots of dishes with sashimi the best of qualities. Need to blast heating due to draft through windows but comfortable. Highly recommended!

The location and the view are good. However the quality of food is very bad, I am at Japan but most of the food are bad quality Chinese style. The fence of balcony is rusted. I can see spider webs. I appreciate good air conditioning however you can see the pipe. The raised up floor is uneven and making noise. The bathroom is too small for such a good size room. The floor inside the Onsen room has lots of discoloration.

Beautiful lake front area. While the building is older and feels like a renovated school turned into a resort, the room was super clean, staff were friendly, I opted in for the dinner buffet and it was excellent, and the location was outstanding. A bit noisy because of vehicle traffic outside because of the location of the building. But great for walking the lake front and seeing the fireworks at night.

We were glad to have chosen Toya Onsen Hotel Hanabi for our stay at Lake Toya. The lake view and the daily fireworks on the lake were great experience for us. We could stroll along the lake feeling safe no matter what time we chose to do. We were lucky to have a pleasant weather even though it drizzled a little, but with an umbrella, problems are solved!

Quiet hotel which is far from toya station. Need to take bus from toya station to toyako onsen bus terminal and another bus to hotel. Room is big (quadruple room) and faces lake toya. Upon check out, receptionist recommended walking to toyako onsen bus terminal but due to heavy snow we were stranded halfway and has to take a taxi to toya station about 10 minutes away for 26000 yen. Lake toya is beautiful but unfortunately we booked the wrong hotel.

The hotel location is a bit far away from JR Station, it will be great to have a hotel shuttle service collaborate with nearby hotel. Especially useful during winter. The food was pretty average, I would recommend to stay in Toya unless you must use the Onsen.

Nice hotel along the scenic lake Toya. We had a spacious japanese style room with balcony and indoor sitting area, 2 comfy futons, small entrance area, and full bathroom. Buffet dinner and breakfast was included and had an excellent selection of items. The onsen is true hot spring water that was satisfyingly hot. although the main onsen room and the alternating use outdoor pool need a good cleaning. Hotel was older but reasonably maintained and it's a good value.

It was good except that as it is winter, the cold air comes through the window. The window cannot be tightly shut.

A modern Japanese hotel based onsen located next to Toyako lake. It is a marvelous natural area. The hotel had great views, and many local areas to walk.

Our room was facing the lake and the islands were framed by our window. Great view anytime of the day. Good vantage point also for the fireworks display.
