Centrally located in South/Central Delhi it is close to India Habitat Centre, Lajpat Nagar, etc. East of Kailash market has great food options. This place has coffee, ice cream, laundry places nearby and also a typical neighbourhood market within 0.5km (easy to walk). No elevator/lift here so plan for that.

I booked a room for 3769.92 INR but on checking in was charged 5152 INR. I realized I had been overcharged when I was checking out. They told me to take it up with Expedia, so I did. Expedia said they had worked it out with the hotel and would process a refund. Later, however, Expedia sent an email saying that the hotel said I had upgraded my room and so they would not honor the price I booked for. Someone is lying. I don't know if Bed & Chai upgraded my room, but I certainly did not request an upgrade. My only request was that the king bed be made up as two twins. I had repeated that request when checking in and was told it wasn't necessary because they had put me in a room with a king bed and two bunk beds. Then they charged me for an upgraded room, apparently.

Located in a nice area of Delhi and a 15 min walk to the metro. Reasonably priced and sized room, staff helpful and room fairly comfortable. Nice and quiet rooms with minimal traffic noise. Wifi was good and the breakfast although simple was nice. Room was dated and half of the lights didn't work so it was very dim in the evening. Mesh covers on windows had some holes along with gaps around doors did mean that mosquitoes would get into the room at night (insect spray/repellent was available). Shower in bathroom ok but knobs of shower would come off in hand. Worth noting that rooms are located up 3-4 flights of stairs.

Not too far from the Metro, the place is on the 2nd floor of a vet's in a peaceful neighborhood. Dormroom is spacious and clean. I had to do work online and spent much of the night in the common areas to avoid waking others; however, common spaces do not use AC at night, so both my computer and I overheated :( The hotel manager was kind to make an arrangement for me the following day, which was generous. I could not have stayed otherwise.
