As soon as I unlocked the door to my room, the handle fell off. They sent a repair man quickly to repair it, but he put only put in one out of the three possible screws, so the handle was still extremely wobbly. The next day after I requested that two more be put in, he did so. He was very kind, but it was an inconvenience especially since I was waiting in my room for him to repair it the second time and he came significantly later than was promised. I also feel like my booking was baited and switched. There was an option to add breakfast for free on the Expedia website however, when I got there, they told me my booking was only for the room and nothing else. On my booking receipt it didn’t say anything about the free breakfast so I had no proof. It left a bad taste in my mouth. There is also a bad smell coming from the pipes/toilet/shower. Also, the rooms directly against the street are extremely noisy. On every one of my four nights I was woken up by either someone yelling on the street or honking a car horn etc. I had booked this place for convenience and proximity to the bus station/train, however, I find this area is really not safe at night especially closer to the port. The area around the hotel is very dirty too, as there is lots of garbage, feces and the smell of urine everywhere.

Pros: spacious, good thick towels, great location, good breakfast! Cons: run-down, mold growing in the ceiling corner in bathroom, AC didn’t do much and it was VERY hot, door was like a bedroom door in an apartment- not very solid or easy to close properly

Wonderful for a one night stop

The check in is in a separate building. This was a bit confusing. The hotel did offer me a free upgrade but that building did not have an elevator which I required. The room was small, as expected, and very clean. The shower was a bit awkward since I am plus size (US18) and did not fit into the shower easily. It was a quiet room. The breakfast was an additional fee, I knew ahead of time, but was good for the price.

J'ai fait 4 allers retours l'ascenseur a fonctionné 2 fois. Petit lit de camp. Douche minuscule sol bosselé et glissant. Chambre très basique. Mieux que coucher dehors quand même. Très bel accueil on m'a accompagné jusqu'à l'hôtel dame très gentille.

Close to train station and safe area with food shops and restaurants close. Poor and dis-interested response from staff. Instructions about door which had NO signage vague. Door to room jammed - had to get another room. Air conditioning not working. They rang at 10.00pm to see if they could come and look at it. Basin plug missing parts. Shower badly patched and had mould and dirt in some area. Toilet badly marked and needs replacing. Had to request 3 times for more toilet paper. Traffic noise from main street. Only 1 set keys issued. Could not even latch door if 1 person went out. Had to put chair against door or be locked in! Obviously won't be staying there again. Pity; if they did there maintenance and got better staff it would be a great budget location.

Good location close to the train station. It is a bit rustic and has an old interior, but kept very clean. Good for short term stay with the basics. Beddings and towels were clean. I would stay again. Would be great if there was a kettle in the room.

The clerk at the desk, extremely nice, very helpful. The hotel was very charming. I really enjoyed my stay.

Service was impeccable and the breakfast VERY nice. Our room was efficient and clean. Only comment was the shower was small, which is understandable. A handheld shower device vs the large showerhead would probably be more effective. It was a lovely stay in a great location so Inwould definitely return...

Simple room, but clean and comfortable. A good value and an excellent location near the Piazza Principe train station. When I checked and asked for a map, the clerk was super helpful and gave me ideas for walking itineraries. I had to check in and out at a nearby property because there was no clerk at the Hotel Twenty Nine. Instructions to do so we’re clear and it was not a problem.
