We stayed at the Moxy Hotel Amsterdam from July 23rd to 30th and overall had a fantastic experience. I'd happily give it 5 stars, but I’ve marked it down slightly due to the lack of a fridge in the room — which is essential for someone like me who needs to keep snacks or certain items cool. We originally booked a standard room, which we’ve done at other hotels without issue even though my partner uses a wheelchair. On arrival, the staff were really accommodating and moved us to an accessible room the next day, which was lovely and much more suitable. The hotel itself is fun and vibrant — there’s a spa, gym, pool table, arcade games in the lobby, and even free popcorn! It has a great vibe and is ideal for both couples and families. Staff were generally brilliant and very helpful throughout our stay. However, on one occasion when our room card stopped working, all of the front desk staff were being told off (quite publicly) by a manager for not engaging with guests — ironic, since the telling-off was causing them to ignore us. Thankfully, one staff member broke away to help us anyway, though it earned her a dirty look from the manager. That was the only disappointing moment in an otherwise excellent stay. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. We’re already planning to return next year and bring more family with us — they’d love it.

It was good. Beware of city tax and the extra £25 a night, whcih is refunded at the end of your stay. Gorgeous location, by the boats and it is a quite area. Number 48 bus is handy, getting in and out of the city, that takes you to the station. Good and comfortable room. Modern, has aircon and wifi. Good for a 4 night stay.

It was conveniently located near our boat biking cruise.

Very comfortable modern hotel Lovely staff, comfy beds, nice rooms amazing view from 5th floor harbour view room. Excellent breakfast choice very tasty .. we were visiting for 2 50th birthday’s I had informed hotel and they wrote a message on the room window with balloons and chocolates.. Nice touch our birthday girls were pleased Thanks Hotel is far from city centre but we aware of this before booking number 48 bus stops close by. Very peaceful pleasant location we loved getting back after long tourist days in the city. We would stop here again if returning to Amsterdam. Adell the man on reception was friendly and helpful with tips regards bus etc on checking in .. Moxy thks for having us

I really enjoyed my stay at the Moxy, it was perfect for what I needed. The food and drinks were really tasty and the service was fast and friendly :)

Great hotel

This is my second visit. Very trendy. Staff are very friendly. Close to public trans but far enough from the main city to enjoy peace and quiet. We slept like babies. Would definitely recommend.

Decent enough, limited public transportation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, although it wasn't within walking distance to the town center. Fortunately, a convenient bus stop was located right outside, offering easy access to the center. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and our room was clean. If you're seeking a peaceful and quiet hotel, I'd highly recommend this hotel

Love the moxy hotel, modern and quirky. Breakfast was not great if you went for the hot option, it wasn't hot. We ordered food from the bar one night too. Chicken salad and a burger. Didn't even know a salad could be bad by it it was! Go out and eat. Or check out the restaurant upstairs maybe. Rooms were always clean, pillows need relooking at. 1 pillow was not enough but 2 was breaking your next. Woke up with either back ache or neck ache all 3 mornings, our whole group did.

When I enter my room saw loads of hand marks on the giant windows. Extremely hard to ignore it. The problem is next day cleaner didint even checked and cleaned which I found unacceptable. No wardrobes inside the room or any mini bar. Anything served for breakfast were not fresh even cheese was hard. Location is somewhere in between no where, so expensive to take uber to the central however there r buses. But not convenient after midnight. No any drinking bottle water inside the room. I left the note on the door to get room cleaned service but it has been ignored for whole afternoon.It has a nice gym and it’s very modern building but loads of things were in poor quality. Staff members were ok if I visit Amsterdam again I won’t stay here. It’s tiring to take buses waiting for them and travel like this

Friendly staff, average hotel (3/5) but awful Industrial location 1/5, avoid unless you enjoy a dystopian stay with a 24/7 fertiliser factory emitting a ton of non-stop smoke directed towards where you are sleeping. - 200/300 mt across the dock there is a huge industrial site, likely the largest one you probably might have seen, emitting 24/7 nasty smoke, this factory apparently makes fertilisers and residents in the surrounding areas have made many complaints for years but it is still there, even if they have started building housing and commercial sites right next to it like this hotel - You can literally smell the fertiliser site throughout the day, you can’t open your windows, for sure it is pretty nasty stuff - apparently higher cancer rates in all surrounding areas. Was very glad we only stayed 2 nights. - The location, being industrial, is very noisy - you get 200mt long vessels / boats, coming into the harbour at night with noisy diesel engines waking you up at 4/5am unloading / loading stuff into these Industrial sites across the dock. - The aircon is just terrible, does not allow you to control the temperature, you can only set it +/-3 - celsius from what you find in the room, when we arrived, the room was ridiculously hot (27C) when outside was freezing cold (-1/-2 C), we couldn’t get a decent sleep as there was no way to lower it to a nice 20-21 degrees to sleep comfortably, you could not open the window as the factory smoke is non stop.

I am thrilled about this hotel and staff, absolure 10 out of 10. Really clean and comfortable, very cool and friendly staff, swimming pool, sauna, gym, above my expectations! Well done!

We loved the quirky hotel and the wide range of guests it catered for. The social areas were modern, quirky and industrial and the bar was central. It was quiet but had a great friendly atmosphere. The rooms and food were excellent lots of choice and the rooms were ample size for us . A big walk-in shower .

The staff were fantastic but on our day of departure there was no hot water although maintenance were looking at it. The hotel has a relaxed feel and the rooms are spacious enough and clean
