Arrived at what looked like taxi rank but no apparently the hotel was above this. Walked into the entrance just off the street and was hit with the smell of cannabis. Got in the lift, which also smelt of cannabis, to go upto the reception which was in the third floor. Checked in and went to find our room. We got to our floor and the smell of cannabis was even stronger. Got in the room and knew immediately we were not staying here. The bed was a black velvet material, covered in questionable stains and dirt. The bed sheets were stained with orange makeup stains. The bathroom had mould all in the shower and the ceiling. Off cuts of carpet being used as rugs which looked as though they had never seen a hoover or a clean. The ‘roof terrace’ is a balcony on the same level as reception overlooking the taxi rank out the front and a Wetherspoons surround by junkies and homeless people. You can also see into the rooms on the 3rd floor from the ‘roof terrace’ where a man was sat smoking cannabis. Without a second thought we got our bags and left and walked 15 minutes away to the nearest Premier Inn.

I want really happy with the quality of the mattress and overall cleanliness of the hotel. The wall was peeling off around sockets. Didn't even want to use the shower because there was so much dirt around where the water goes and it's covered by a water mat inside the shower. Overall i wouldn't say if was worth the money i had spent

It was alright but one thing that made me feel incredibly unsafe and uncomfortable was the fact that our door was left open during the time we were out by room service. Apparently they had forgotten something so they went upstairs to collect it. Me and my friend arrived after going out and about to notice the door wide open. We noticed some cleaning supplies so we assumed that room service would return. We waited about 30 minutes. Still no sign of anyone. Later that day I made a complaint as it was incredibly reckless. The manager had apologized and explained why it happened but didn't treat it as a serious issue. Probably won't book here again :/

Small blood stains on the pillow and the floor was not swept at all - was plenty evidence of hair from the previous guest. Entrance door could easily be left open and since there was no reception from 10pm that allowed individuals from outside to make it inside the hotel premises. That led to one occasion unfortunately homeless people sleeping inside the entrance of the property by the lift. On top of that one night I had the wonderful experience of a drunk person knocking on my door and trying to enter at 2am in the morning.

We received a phone call from this property when we were enroute asking when we would be checking in. Never had this before and thought it to be quite pushy as there are no times set out on the listing as to when you have to check in by. It was only an hour after check in time. Also the room had a musty smell, possibly due to poor ventilation in the bathroom. The side tables in the bedroom looked like they hadn’t been dusted in months and some of the bedding was dirty. The bed was however comfortable, shower hot and tv worked so not completely awful. Maybe just a couple of things to improve on.

The hotel staff were lovely, check in very quick, and a good central location. The hotel itself is old however. The first room I had the a/c didn't work and there was a small and noisy blower heater on the bedside table, and a half full bottle of coke that had leaded in the fridge. The safe was also broken. Moved to a different executive room, the a/c was temperamental and refused to turn on two different days the bedhead fabric was torn, glue spilled on the large writing table top and chair, the safe was broken (apparently they are in all rooms). The glass recycle garbage truck parks directly opposite the window at 05.40am to collect the bottles from the pub, making enough noise to wake the dead.

Very good location with economical parking option. Room is in good size and looks nice at first sight, however, when walking around the room, the floor is sounds, the fan in bathroom is sounds. And room clean service looks like not available every day, during 4 night stay my room only been treated twice. Been visited Leicester many times, this one is most central ever but hope it improves.

1st Impressions. Arrival and checkin were fine, the room was on the top floor adjacent to the reception (meaning all guests walked past this room). When 1st stepping into the room it was really hot, the heating had been left on maximum, it took some time to reduce this. The coffee cups in the room were stained snd clearly had not been cleaned, as a result I didn’t trust the overall cleaning of the room. I did report this, the cups were replaced, it just didn’t feel clean. If you can’t get the basics right…. The bedding cover was quite thin and didn’t offer any comfort, We overlooked the street and had noise from traffic, people in the street and sirens for what seemed like most of the night. Booked the hotel based on location, and it is very close to the City Centre, but I wouldn’t book again.

The room was very spacious but had lost of damage done to it. There were stains on the wall and the paintwork not done correctly. There was sains on the glass table. There was also one plug socket that was not painted around and could see the electrics. Also the flusher for the toilet was smashed. There was marks on the Bathroom Mirror and grime around the Shower. The Kettle had a build up of limescale within it. The bed was poorly made as there were multiple creases on one side of the bed as if someone just stopped laying in it. My stay there was for business and there was a power cut in the room making me miss multiple important meetings. I raised this with the dtaff and they got back to me 7 hours later. The power cut lasted 4 hours. I tried to get the attention of someone at the front desk and no one was there. Not the first time as on check in there was no one at the front desk and left me waiting for 30 minuets. I get people can be busy but none of the other staff recognised that I was standing there. In addition to this they had no black pens to do a sign in signature. I had the do not disturb sign on the door as I was working. This was ignored by staff and they started banging on the door and trying to force an entry. There was no need to have a forced entry to my room as there were no questions of wellbeing. Upon opening the door this was when they apologised for the power cut.
