This was by far the worst resort experience I’ve ever had. The room was disgusting—bugs crawling around and visible mold on the walls and in the bathroom. The smell was unbearable, and it was clear the place hasn’t been properly cleaned or maintained in a long time. What made things even worse was the staff’s response. When we brought up the issues, they acted like it was normal and did nothing to fix the situation. For the price we paid, the conditions were completely unacceptable. If you care about cleanliness, safety, or basic comfort, avoid this resort at all costs. It ruined what should have been a relaxing vacation.

Great place to stay, truly special....our Butler (Manuel) Lewis was the best...MVP.....we will be back to visit soon.

Something important to know about the property is the Royalton Resorts are all bunched up together, and Hideaway is simply one specific building with its own pool and bar, and also access to a restaurant for Hideaway guests only. The Royalton property is quite huge as a whole, so there is much to see. If you plan on doing an excursion that isn’t offered/sponsored through Royalton, then realize you’ll have to walk a majority of the way back to the front of the property. We had a group of 30, some of which were elderly, and that was not expected, so you see the issue. Other than that, most staff are very nice and wish to give you wonderful service. I couldn’t suggest the hydrotherapy session in the spa enough, definitely prepared me for my travels back home.

Wasn’t able to visit the beach. Staff was very unfriendly! Will never visit again.

If you’re looking for a budget resort this is it. But the staff are overall full of attitude and seem like they don’t want to be there. Armaso was the best part of the trip. He was so kind and we looked forward to him working at the bar.

I loved my Butler Denis he was awesome but other workers weren't as friendly at this resort compared to the other Royalton resorts I've visited.

This hotel is amazing, but this is not a Adult only resort. This is a terrible mistake to mix different customers. We ha ve only a little swimming pool (not to say a bath tube) reserved for adults... But the other activities has been practised with family group. It unfair and dangerous. You serve many alcohol beverage and make party at the same time with different people... But everything is okay for any comfort duties...

It was a really nice place to relax and enjoy with your family. Room very confortables, a variety of dinner options and the staff was so kind and helpful. The only thing to mention is that Pool needs some repair

I didn’t appreciate how we paid for adults only but come to find out. It was only adults only where we rest our head at night. The entire facility had children except for where we slept which was the hideaway. That needs to be disclosed because there was a lot of children which we didn’t want to be around. Hence why we chose ADULTS ONLY !

The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, food was ok but I don’t expect fabulous with an all-inclusive. The staff were either great or couldn’t care less. Overall we had a nice stay but wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend it to friends.

The linens wasn’t so clean..Poor housekeeping..Our butler Miguel was great…Didn’t respect our food allergies…Ask for sparkling water they brought us regular water which caused my husband to be sick for two days…Cross contamination with food allergies…No nightly entertainment..walking around the property there’s nothing to do… They need to train their employees English at least enough to communicate with guests..

A lot of pools, not crowded, lots of beach seating and very friendly staff. Our butler Miguel handled our dinner reservations and ensured we had anything we needed. Looking forward to coming back!

Hotel & pools are beautiful. Most staff very nice. Michael Jackson show & spa were amazing! We stayed in late june & beach was full of seaweed. Had we researched this, we would not have went. Every day they rake the seeweed into piles, then push them back into the ocean. The smell was horrible, like rotten fish. We paid to go to Sanoa island & Macao beach which were nicer. The worst part of the hotel is the dining situation which the staff really dont care about. We had a room w/4 people & we traveled w/family in another room of 4. We NEVER got to eat dinner together. You must have cell service bc everyday no matter if your snorkeling, diving, riding a horse, whatever..you must stop & get on your phone at 5pm to book your dinner for the next day. Diamond members get first bookings, hideaway guests (which was us) get 2nd opportunities & we almost always only had options to eat at 9 or 945pm. We begged to be able to eat w/the rest of our family to no avail. HOWEVER the restaurant would ALWAYS have many open tables of 4 or 8! our family absolutely could have ate together! I took pics of all the open tables yet was told repeatedly they could not allow the other 4 people to dine in the same restaurant with us. They have all kinds of people trying to sell you excursions or sign u up for rewards but no one to help book your dinners for the week. I think they prefer everyone to go to buffet. I thought it would be easier ro eat at the 11 rest. They advertise. Aruba & cancun better

Impossible to get any dinner reservations the whole 5 days despite it being an all inclusive resort. The reservations were saved for the guests that were “diamond” and no others were able to get dinner reservations at all. Wry frustrated to pay for an all inclusive resort and not get to dine at any of the restaurants and have to eat the buffet every night for dinner .
