This resort is nothing less than spectacular! The staff is incredible and all the food is amazing. The grounds were very well kept and quiet. Never had a problem finding a poolside or beach chair. Couldn't have picked a better resort for our first visit to Jamaica! Will definitely be returning.

This is a gem of a resort. Small, quiet, well-kept, with an amazing staff. It was the first time to Jamaica and this resort, and will not be the last.

This resort is perfect for couples looking for a laid-back, chill atmosphere at a small, intimate location. I have zero complaints about this place. It’s definitely a resort for lovebirds. We will definitely return! Room: Comfy The rooms are rustic, but the bathrooms are modern and clean. Staff: Amazing!!! PLEASE bring cash to tip the staff—they truly deserve it. Every single team member was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Food: 60/40 if you like well-seasoned food. Beach: Beautiful You have to cross the street to access the beach, but it’s not a big deal. There's a crossing guard because traffic moves quickly. The staff sets up chairs and a small table, provides towels, and there are pool floats available. The sand is smooth and the water is stunning. You can get unlimited drinks at the beach bar and order lunch right there. Spa: Peaceful We booked the couples massage, and it was relaxing and enjoyable. Atmosphere: Friendly! Most guests we met were kind and welcoming. There are lots of cats around (likely to keep critters away), but they were harmless. As cat lovers, we didn’t mind when they came by our table. I’m in my mid-30s and was one of the youngest guests—most were 50+. Tip: Pay for the Airport Transfer. Cons: - The live entertainment... - The “private” beach isn’t actually private—be prepared for constant soliciting. - Italian night was awful. The made-to-order pasta was beyond bland.

If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway Sunset at the Palms is the place to go. The staff are the best, fully attentive and with a desire to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The grounds are spectacular, a tropical paradise. Jacob snd the grounds crew do a killer job. The beach, the drinks, the food, all great. If you want a raging nightlife, definitely not the place for you. It’s a small resort so there also aren’t tons of food choices. We were more than content with the buffet and beach grill. We met lots of guests who had been to Sunset 5, 10, 15 times. We’ll be going back. Thank you Sunset at the Palms for the most relaxing vacation ever. I will miss my hours on the patio bed chilling to the birds and frogs. We can’t wait to go back.

Excellent resort . Our 4th time back. The staff is Amazing! Thank you to one of our favorites, Shannon, for her wonderful smile and of course making our coffee. Colvin took some great pics for us the night before we left! The food is fantastic. Something for everyone. We spent our mornings at the beach where the staff set you up wherever you want to sit. The afternoon was spent by the pool. Never had a problem getting loungers. Piano bar is great for playing some card games and having a cocktail. We will be back soon!!

My wife and I went to the sunset for a week with a couple of friends and had a fantastic time. Very laid back and relaxed, amazing treehouse bungalows sit back in the jungle. Very nice beach with plenty of chairs and people to help set them up for you. Great beach bar and lunch brought to you by helpful staff. The beaches pure sand which is excellent for swimming, and the water is very calm as compared to the more southern properties on the beach, which are also much more busy. We would recommend the place to anyone who wants to kick back and relax, and doesn't need too much evening entertainment, as it's pretty quiet. It's definitely the best property on that whole stretch of beach.

The rooms were unique and more like a tree house feel or cabin feel. The staff was amazing is all areas. This is the best beach I have been on will total sand in the water, no rocks. We spent the majority of our time in the water. There was plenty of shade if you needed to be out of the sun. Food and drink service was provided at the beach. If you don't like crowds, noise or lines this is a great choice. You get a lush jungle experience. Cons: This is a very small resort with one buffet, one restaurant and a beach grill. Limited night life, piano singer, house band, karaoke. Very tiny pool, but a swim up bar. Loud frogs and crickets at night and you can hear them when inside. Rooms need some updates, but clean. Many in my party said they would return. I would too, but I prefer a different hotel every time I travel.

The property was so lush and relaxing upon entry. All the staff from the concierges, bell hops, pool and beach personnel were pleasant and helpful. We had a rough arrival due to storms messing up flights but the stress disappeared once we reached the property. Ran into multiple couples that were repeat visitors and I see why. Great location near seven mile and popular attractions in Negril. Will definitely return for my next stay in Negril.

Beautiful mature lush setting with all the sights and sounds that tropical nature has to offer. We did notice that the grounds surrounding the rooms on the other side of the property were much better kept and groomed. The setting is private and unique and we loved that. The buildings are older and the bathroom did seem to show its age but was clean and functional. Some TLC would help improve things. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The buffet was consistently fantastic! Shout out to Chef Shane who did a cooking demonstration and was responsible for the delish fish and daily soup (something new and delicious every day) amongst other items. We did not find our “Lotus Dinner” to be worth the hype and so chose to only eat at the buffet for all our meals. The beach restaurant was also not our favorite. We would have loved to have experienced more authentic jerk chicken rather than the safer crowd pleasing version. The rumachinos and coffee were fantastic! The beach was stunning and the beach staff were awesome. We felt safe and well taken care of. Brenda and Petula provided the most wonderful spa experiences in such a beautiful and relaxing setting! We highly recommend these gifted ladies. If you are looking for a party/nightlife environment this isn’t the place for you. It is the perfect get away to relax and rejuvenate with nature at its core. We will definitely be back.
