Spent the one night here. Thoroughly enjoyed and overall impression was good. Having canvas tents is more authentic but necessarily means a little less comfort than the "purpose built camps" like Oryx, though more than adequate. Food is brought up from Oryx (1km away) and was pretty good. Stargazing was amazing as was watching the colours at sunrise. But the "activities" on offer are expensive - "dune bashing" for £50 was really not up to much and you could walk to the place you are taken for sunset in 10 minutes. As somebody who never, ever camps I was pretty happy and not traumatised!

We had a wonderful stay in the camp! The tents have comfortable beds and proper showers and toilets, not a camping alternative. We got there as per the directions sent to us and found it immediately. The team was super friendly, they offered plenty of activities and excursions to book once you get there (only payment method is cash). The food is in buffet style and gets brought in, it is simple but tasty. In the evening they even lit a fire for everyone to sit around and enjoy the calmness of the desert. There is free chilled water, tea and coffee in the Majlis tent all day.

Don't expect luxury, but you are in a desert camp so if it is luxury you are looking for don't go to a desert camp. The place is fantastic, is hidden in the middle of the sand dunes. Staff is really kind and helpful. The food is nice and the overall atmosphere amazing. We stayed nights. The comfort and cleanness of the bathroom could be improved but when you are in the middle of nowhere and water is scarce you should also be flexible. The first night the drivers guiding a group put some music and we have been dancing under the stars. The second night they did a fire for us and we were sitting until late outside watching the stars.

I have felt so at home in this place thanks to the great hospitality of 2 wonderful, friendly people that run the camp. I even considered to come back to this place to spend my last days in Oman. I will certainly return in the future. Very good breakfast and dinner included. The dinner is actually amazing, prepared by people from Bangladesh. The sleeping tents have all you need to feel comfortable in the dessert at night, incl seperate bathroom tent. The location is very silent and peaceful, and I had my best night of sleep in a long time in this camp.

une nuit dans ce camps assez basique. Accueil sympathique.

This place is just perfect. Its a small camp so you have that real desert feeling, not cars driving by or people everywhere, its just you and the desert. We didnt have much time to spend in camp, but enjoyed every minute. It was fantastic to watch sun rise and walk on dunes, and after that enjoy probably best breakfast ever. Also sunset trip with 4x4 was amazing experience, and price was also pretty good. Staff was best you can imagine, super friendly and always ready to help. Place is pretty far from nearest town but its still easy to get there with any 4wd vehicle, so you dont need any special offroad skills to get there. Definetly coming back someday, and stay a little longer. Thanks guys, hope to see you again!
