Enjoyed stay room clean though a lot of stairs

It was a bit rundown. It's a pub for the locals. The guests who stayed above my room were very loud until early hours of the morning. I won't stay there again.

The hotel room was ok. Good area of town. We are from Australia where water is very expensive, in this room the shower had to run for an unacceptable time before warm water. Standing naked waiting for hot waternis not much fun, kepp your clothes on people while you eait foe the warm water for a shower.

The property looked liked it should have been condemned years ago

Room was fine - emergency stay after ferry was cancelled. A blind for the Velux window would be good - room was flooded with light from early morning. Not a complaint, more of a suggestion. Location good for ferry services.

The family room was large and comfortable, with a big bathroom. Very clean and the staff were lovely and friendly. Oban was a delight too

Great little budget hotel /bar , reasonably priced had room at top of hotel , no noise from vibrant bar downstairs

Convenience for railway station, ferry and shops

I arrived late in the evening the young lady at the bar was very helpful overcoming my anxiety regards leaving bike in car park. I forgot to ask her name and cannot recall if she advised me. When I came into bar there was entertainment going on however this was not intrusive . I had a great nights sleep I read some reviews before hand but if people cannot accept your programme of renovations you are better off without them

Great budget option and breakfast was perfect

Basic, clean, central and friendly

Our room was on the top floor so there were many flights of stairs, we got our exercise in! Theroom was a nice space, only thing disappointing were the beds. Sorry to say that the mattresses were uncomfortable. But for one night with an early to rise morning, it got the job done.

I'll cut to the chase with this one. If you're expecting all the frills, you won't get them. HOWEVER... Its an absolute bargain and certainly ideal for a short break. The hotel itself may be in need of some work (and it looks like some of that work has started), but ultimately, its clean, comfortable, ideally located given its very close proximity to the railway station etc, and even the noise issues that people had raised in other reviews wasnt an issue. You might get a bit of background noise but its not offputting and what do you expect? Its in the town centre next to a railway station and a ferry port. I still managed a good nights sleep. Check in was also very straightforward and easy too. Definitely recommended for anyone who needs a place to get a good nights kip for the next days adventures. 👍

Good budget accommodation. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms tidy but definitely require some TLC. Pub down stairs so can get quite noisy on a busy night.

Location was convenient for the ferry. But the bed was very saggy and uncomfortable and there was a lot of noise throughout the night (shouting, arguing).

Only staff contact was at bar when booking in. No dining facilities. Shower would not hold in place. Electric switch outside of shower situated under the water pipe. Absolutely noisy. Guests smoking at fire escape door. Rolls of underlay blocking hallway. I had to leave a night early due to noise from Bar Area. Won't be going back.
