This place is a beautiful oasis. The pictures reflect the beauty of the place, however there are many things that need to be upgraded. We chose the place for the pool for our son. It is the desert and we did not expect the pool to be filled with sand and really not swimmable-it was a disappointment. Our cottage had a problem with the water- the shower wouldn't turn off- this was our last night. We had to get maintenance to help. Thank God-we took our showers earlier that evening as t was our last night and we could no longer use the shower. They did offer another room as a solution. Given t was our last night we did not want to have to move everything, so we stayed in the room. There were also many ants..we eventually got baby powder (nice trick) from the front desk to put around the room to keep the ants away. Apparently, they come in trying to get water. Who Knew? The staff was responsive ALWAYS - yet like I said the place needs to updated. There was NO wifi in the room and that was painful to get anything done we had to hang in the lobby for the internet. I understood that even the cottages that were suppose to have service did not. Again another area for upgrade. What worked? The people are AMAZING the staff are professional, kind and responsive. The atmosphere is relaxing and the area really beautiful. Springboks, bougainvillea's and the golf-course are an added plus to the site. Easy to get to town and an oasis when you come back from the many adventures.

Having stayed here 10 years ago, I can honestly say I was disappointed. The Lodge belongs to the same owner as the adjacent Rossmund Golf Club which has been up for sale by auction a few times during the past year. The lawn around the pool was uncut and the pool itself did not look clean enough to consider a swim in the scorching heat. Breakfast in the confined dining room was sub-standard and the staff looked disinterested. Over all the place was tired , which is a pity, given its lovely location virtually on the golf course.WE were referred to the golf club for an evening meal , only to be told on our arrival at 18h00 that the kitchen was already closed! I left with a sad feeling as my routes were deeply entrenched in that golf club of which I have fond memories. A new owner could turn both the lodge and the Golf Club around.

Surprisingly nice stay in Rossmund Lodge near Swakopmund, easily reached from the new Highway between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund. Our cabin was spacious, clean, had a big bath with bathtub and shower, a little dressing area with a refrigerator, cups and glasses for tea or coffee, and a hot water cooker. The beds were comfortable, a fan was supplied for added comfort during hot weather. In addition a little patio with a small table and chairs complimented the arrangement. We did not use the pool, but it looked clean. Breakfast was included in the price, it was usually bread , jam, some cold cuts, cheese, any form of eggs with bacon and sausage, if desired. All in all a pleasant experience. The personnel was always friendly and helpful. The Golf resort also had a restaurant where we often had lunch, also highly recommended.
