I had the absolute worst experience at this hotel in Antananarivo! The room was filthy, and the staff were rude and completely unprofessional. To make matters worse, there was no Wi-Fi at all, and the water stopped in the middle of my shower! When I asked for help, no one did anything. The hotel reeked of cigarette smoke, and the staff couldn’t care less. But the worst part—when I complained to the manager, an aggressive man, he actually called the police! It was insane. I was taken to the police station for no reason and kept there for 6 hours. No one spoke English, and I was terrified. They even tried to take me to another location, but I refused and demanded they call the US ambassador. This was a nightmare! Avoid this hotel at all costs. The immigration police came to inspect the place, and even they confirmed the conditions were horrible.

Stay was great as always, only minor detail: wifi wasn’t working this time. ( this isn’t the first time I stayed there).

Had a balcony although small whereby I can view up and down the street. The room was spacious with a personal safe.Had air conditioning and en suite facilities with a good strong shower. The steps leading to the room could do with extra lighting and a makeover. The restaurant was on the opposite side of the street, pleasant and helpful staff with indoor and outdoor dining.Food was reasonably priced and a good selection on offer. The place is within easy reach of street markets and major landmarks.Security staff present day and night. The price per room was very reasonable.in all, it makes a pleasant stay.

For the price you pay, the quality is amazing. Nice and spacious room. Very well functioning wifi and air conditioning. The restaurant has amazing food compared to the rest of Madagascar. Staff was polite and helpful.

The room was better than other hotels we stayed at in Antananarivo and it’s very central so easy to move around. The restaurant was popular and served an excellent pizza and other meals we tried. Mosquito net didn’t cover the bed properly and shower water was luke warm. Other than that, the room was spacious and had a little fridge/freezer and tea making facilities which was really nice and missing from many other facilities we stayed at.

A lovely hotel with a great restaurant and chilled, relaxed atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and Thursday through Saturday the bar is lively. We had minor problems with the in room safes (not secure, despite a change of room) but the rooms in general were clean, quirky and comfortable. The hotel is an easy walk into the centre of town, with ATMs etc close by.

The hotel is a $60US drive from the airport. It is a smallplace with further rooms probably added lalter over the road up and up some concrete stairs, down a dark alley which is often full of unsavory types and beggars. A little alarming at night. Staff, only speak French and the manager was very unfriendly.

This is my 2nd time at this hotel. The Last time I stayed in their "deluxe" rooms, which is larger. This time it was the "standard". The standard rooms are small with very low ceiling, but are clean and ok for the price. I just wish they use white sheets and towels.

It was clear that more focus was being put on the fantastic restaurant than the rather simple hotel facilities. The beds were not terribly comfortable, some rooms did not have mosquito nets, no toiletries were provided, the rooms did not have sufficient number of power sockets, the rooms were dark. But there was free wifi, which was fast. The personnel was professional and the overal value for money was actually very good. They kept booking records manually in a massive paper book and missed the fact that I changed my reservation - luckily, there was availability.

The hotel had a great location right in the middle of the capital city, close to banks and shops. It had a little garden/terrace on a side street, so one could forget there was a bustling city around. The rooms were very simple and the beds were not terribly comfortable. No toiletries were provided and the towels were old. However, the hotel was still a very good value for money, the personnel was professional and the restaurant was absolutely fantastic.

I enjoyed my stay there ~! Staff are nice and they even send me to another hotel next door when they are fully booked themselves. The hotel next door is jasmine hotel, which is a weird but nice hotel/chinese restaurant. The boss is nice as the boss from La rubudiere and the food is just as greate as la rubieiere. Nice experience !

I had one day in Tana so, as I have a million other times, I asked at receptiuon whether they could hire me a driver or a guide. They said yes, produced a guy who showed up accepting the offer, then the next day he came and said he was busy. I complained to le proprieteur who acted like "why should he give a d*mn." He said, "I have a hotel and restaurant and I am not a tour guide." True, but that's not the point. He reallty didn't get that his staff had let me down. Overall, I found the food very good, but a so-called deluxe room was cramped.

This is one of the oldest hotels in Tana, but it is very well kept. In addition to the main building it has an annexe which is more modern and has air-conditioning. The hotel restaurant is superb. The food is absolutely great, and the service is very friendly. On the whole, our stay was very pleasant. We actually stayed there twice during our trip to Madagascar. We would certainly go back and stay there again.
