It was within walking distance of the train and also the Festspielhaus for the opera festival.

Close to the Festspiel house walking. The only issue was that it is close to the train station (which is good at one level) but I left a window open (because of the heat) and was woken at 4.30am by a train!

Of course, it is very convenient for the Festival theatre! Otherwise, hotel is fine - would recommend.

Well located for station and Festspielhaus and only 10 minute walk into the centre of town. Rooms are clean and average size. Breakfast is OK but number of tables is limited. Staff were very helpful.

It's a nice enough hotel; somewhat on the more expensive side for what it is during the Festspiel. Recommend you get an even numbered room, as the odd numbered rooms face the train station, and they're often really quite noisy at all hours of the night. Staff were nice. Bar was pleasing enough until 1/1.30am as we were coming down off the opera.

Very convenient to the train station and about a 15 minute walk to downtown. Accommodations were good and African theme interesting/different. The bathroom was nice but a little tight of shelf space. Staff was helpful and friendly. The old town area was definitely worth looking around at.. especially the old opera house. Good choice for the money!

The check-in receptionist yelled at me because I wanted to validate the incorrect entries in my registration form, and my room wasn't cleaned after my first night, although I didn't opt out from daily house keeping!

I can’t stress enough how wonderful a stay here is. Right next to the train station, the hotel also has a breakfast that is so good. All the staff are friendly and speak English as well as German so that was helpful. Rooms were clean and cozy, beds very comfortable. I would stay here again!

I was very positively surprised by the ibis Styles. The hotel seems reasonably new and fresh. Comfortable rooms with a lot of light. Good breakfast. Convenient location-- close to the train station and an easy walk to the Festspiele.

Everything was fine here at the Ibis Bayreuth. It’s located nicely by the train station and barely a 15-minute walk to the Wagner opera house. In the opposite direction is the city center. The rooms are small, but very clean. Not having a dedicated closet proved tricky, but you make do. Breakfast in the mornings was fine.

Excellent air conditioning, 10 min walk to the Festspielhaus, public EV charging points right across the road, and a short walking distance to the supermarkets and town centre. Small rooms but there is a nice communal area on the ground floor.

Very new property, very clean. We were there on a weekend and it was very popular. The breakfast service did their best but it was quite busy during rush hour, leading to queues at the coffee machine. A second coffee machine could have improved the situation.

Nice clean new hotel close to City centre, with good parking options. Right on train line, but triple glazing keeps sound to a minimum. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice ambiance in the foyer, great to sip a beer and chillax on a hot day.

The low end of a budget hotel .... cheap Africa theme design .... questionable a/c ... ... not much space to put things , no table ..... not a single hook or bar in the bathroom for a towel

Next to railway tracks. Very early in the morning diesel trains were warming up their engines practically under my window. But otherwise a good hotel for my purpose with great parking facilities
