The checking in process was not for me, downloading apps, pass keys etc, and it was just noisy.... The shower was great the amenities were great the bed was great, still haven't received my damage deposit back after 2 weeks which is just rubbish!! When you stay overnight on a business trip you don't want hassle, unfortunately Sky City is a hassle.

The property was fine. The room temperature could not be adjusted, and the weather was very hot; we did not like sleeping with the windows open, as we were on the ground floor. This made our sleep uncomfortable. Everything else was great, and it suited our short stay needs.

It was just very uncomfortable, very noisy, no air in the room at all. It was 27c temp in the room and not changing at all. Then fire alarm rang quite early in the morning. Could not sleep or relax at all. Such a pathetic experience.

Once I booked with Hotels.com I received a separate email saying I had to pay a £100 deposit which wasn’t stated anywhere, then had to download an app to get the key to the room. The room was clean and tidy but there was broken glass on the floor of which I cut my foot, not great! The Tv didn’t work so I couldn’t watch anything. After my stay I didn’t receive my deposit back until I had to email the company to request it back. When I received my deposit I received £91 back with no explanation as to where £9 has gone? For a one night stay it was more headache then it’s worth. Either explain the process before booking or make the process easier.

Both rooms were very cold and I messaged the number I had and explained that the thermostat wasn’t working and they had capped it. So they sapd they would increase the temperature which I found I was like in a cell.

Lovely clean apartment that looks really impressive and modern. Unfortunately the temperature was set to 25 degrees and we were unable to change this, whilst trying to get ready for a formal event. It was rather uncomfortable putting a suit on in 25 degree heat!!!

The studio has many facilities which I felt would benefit couples/families more. The check in process was rather complex. I was expecting a text message regarding the deposit but it came through in the app and I wasn’t notified through email like the initial message. This has caused some hiccups on the check in process. After checking out, the deposit was not returned until I chased for it.

I would not recommend this for an extended stay. The furniture is ok and not as pictured. there is no wardrobe to store clothing, a rack but you can't properly hang clothing as the hangers do not come off. Towels/linen are poor quality and no real way to ask for fresh linens/housekeeping. not enough kitchen towels to use to clean up. It did have a fantastic shower! However, if you are a female, there is only one mirror in the entire place and no full length mirror. also the bathroom did not have a plug, so you must dry your hair elsewhere... for use, it was the kitchen...

The property was easy to locate and walkable. Has good shops around and easy access to the city center. However, the property was not clean. I had to get cleaning supplies, my own bedsheet and pillow cases before I could sleep. Even down to the cutlery, there was jam on a knife from a previous occupant. Nice property but they need to work on cleanliness. Also, they need to clearly state that you’ll be paying a damage deposit in their description.

Check in was fine after dealing with a long-winded and stressful bunch of 'requirements' in order to gain access to the key. Wall lights not working, bathroom has a very strong mould smell, bed uncomfortable.. after finally managing to get to sleep the whole building was disturbed by fire alarms going off. Then no hot water at all anywhere in the apartment in the morning so couldnt even have a shower. 2nd disappointing stay in these apartments.. there will not be a 3rd.

Second time staying here. You need to pay your deposit and download an app for electronic check in. Can get a bit confusing but we're OK with it now. Property is self contained and an Aldi to the road for supplies. It was hot and a fan was provided. Thank you

I made a last-minute reservation with this 'hotel' on a Friday afternoon, to check-in the same day. Due to travel disruptions, I contacted the hotel just after 9pm stating that I wouldn't be able to get there until just before 11:00pm. I then received a text message at 9:40pm from an unknown mobile number asking me to send a 'security deposit' before 10:00pm or else I wouldn't be able to check-in. Of course, I thought it was not legitimate. I subsequently received a call from the same number at 9:50pm advising me to make a payment immediately within the next 10 minutes, as their phone lines close at 10:00pm?? I was still travelling at this point, and had spent the whole day travelling with a young child. It was virtually impossible to make this payment within the time given to unusual account details! I was then informed that if I arrived after 10:00pm, I wouldn't be able to get into the property. We subsequently had to make new arrangements for the night. And Sky City Apartments is able to make money because their fees are non-refundable. My advice to anyone planning a stay here, is to stick with well-established hotel chains and stay away from Sky City Apartments.

As a reasonably priced option, the room had all you would need to be able to cater yourselves. Nice shower, bed not very comfortable, and bath sheet towels would have been better. I didn't feel that the bluetooth key system felt secure, and I thought the whole situation around paying £100 deposit was also open to fraud, so I won't be staying again, for these reasons.

I had several company bookings and the owners were really helpful. The location was about 15 minutes from where we were working so perfect on the morning travel wise. The only things personally I would change is in the room I was in I had to dry my hair in the kitchen in the reflection of the backsplash as there was no mirror near a plug and the bed needed a good clean underneath as it was full of fluff. A top up of the coffee each day would be a nice touch too along with fresh milk.

Clean, comfortable and it felt secure. Comms all by text, but responsive. Didn’t meet anyone personally. Be aware you will be asked for a deposit by bank transfer which was not highlighted on Expedia - it worked fine and was transferred back to me within 24 hours. Nothing nearby, aside from Aldi.
