I stayed for one night , a lady named ( tonie) was very sweet in nice she’s a good reason to come back to the hotel by its self no problem at check in . Everyone also had a good vibe.

Hotel very historic, cultural, inspiring, educational. Was a new experience for me. Owner very personable, and attentive to your needs

Tv didn’t work. Staff did offer us to move to anew room but i declined.

We arrived late around 9pm and took an Uber as we arrived - this was not a great area- the Uber driver said are you sure you want to stay here? Maybe in the daylight but at that moment got back on Expedia and booked Hilton. This is not a “boutique” hotel. The reviews and pics looked so good.

You get what you pay for. Ive never been to a hotel where i was checked in on paper. They didnt give any receipts I guess because they didnt use a computer. The area I was told was not a good one. I was told continental breakfast would be available and we were up early and there was only stuff to make coffee and perhaps tea. The hotel concept9 was great. They had rooms named after celebrities.

The lady at the desk was VERY pleasant and helpful. At first site of this place i asked myself what did i get myself into. I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. We stayed because it was late ( late flight) and we were heading to a cruise early morning. There were a few things unpleasing about this booking but i will give the main things. The bathroom was INFESTED with bugs.The ONLY lock on the door loose and not very secure. The TV did not work. No phone in the room. The room was the size of a closet. The walls are COTTON THIN heard my neighbors conversation as if we were in the same rm. We did not sleep in the bed although the sheets appeared to be clean.

This is a fraudulent property! Doesn’t exist!

There was dust on the floor of the room and bed. There were also some leftover bolts or screws from a project that had been worked on before I came in. There was no desk or chair for me to use for writing. There was no way for me to connect my PC to the hotel room TV for watching my own content. I am sorry to say that noise was an issue, both from wandering chickens and a local construction project. The door to the room was very hard to shut properly, requiring me to force it. However, I was only in town to visit the consulate and this location made that within easy reach. I was also able to order food from uber eats from it. A Publix was a few blocks away. It wasn't entirely bad. I write this review not out of spite but to give constructive criticism - these are things that need to be dealt with and fixed by hoteliers and cleaning staff before they bring in paying guests.

Good cheap place to stay that was interesting and not a chain. Parking was limited. It's downtown Miami so not the safest area. Multiple homeless walking around on arrival at 12:30pm and had to park on the street. However, service was good and room was enjoyable.

Dunns Josephine was perfect for a quick trip to Miami. We stayed one night before going on a cruise. The property is clean, unique and the staff is very friendly. We will definitely book again! It looks exactly like the pictures.

This was a nice clean place to stay without breaking the bank. Especially during Memoial day weekend.

The hotel was really clean. The hotel had a New Orleans vibe. The location was in the hood. I had no problems at the location.

We didn't realize that we were staying in a historic, black building. It was amazing to learn a little bit of history while enjoying a night in Miami. We stayed here the night before our cruise, staff was amazing and helpful.

It has alot of history. And the place is very well kept and run.

The staff was wonderful. The location for two young ladies coming in late was not ideal. The property itself inside was clean and very nice rooms. Beds were very comfy. The room we were in was spacious but right on the street so very loud. The property had lots of pluses as it was a neat boutique hotel but the location was a little concerning.

The staff was very friendly. It was neat to see all of the art inside and read about the history of the area

Very funky and eclectic hotel in the historic Overtown section of Miami. Much of the decor is reminiscent of New Orleans or Harlem. All the rooms are named for famous people from black history, and arts. The room was roomy with a very comfortable bed, and large bathroom. Walking distance to the Red Rooster and local art galleries.

Dunno Josephine is a beautiful boutique hotel in Miami’s Overtown Historic District. It has a rich, jazzy vibe, stunning art, and a deep sense of culture. Possibly Black-owned, it feels like a tribute to the soul of the neighborhood. More than a stay—it’s an experience.
