This was the worst accommodation we experienced during our 9 weeks travelling through Europe.
The room was advertised as non-smoking, but it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke upon arrival. The hairdryer was also faulty — it was overheating and only functioned for a few seconds before shutting off. I reported this to the hotel contact, who apologised and assured me someone would attend to it the following day. However, no one followed up, and the issue remained unresolved. The lighting was far too dim in the loungeroom, there was no detergent for washing dishes in the kitchen, and when we asked for another toilet roll, the cleaner advised we'd have to pay for it.
Additionally, inside the unit complex, there was no roof for the common area and stairwell where people navigate to their rooms. During a period of heavy rain, accessing our room became quite difficult. We had to use an umbrella while going up and down the metal spiral staircase, which led to large puddles at the base. This made moving between our room and the exit difficult and dangerous, as it was very slippery.
