We liked everything about it. It felt very quaint and comfortable. The s’mores around the fire are a treat. Staff very friendly.

We booked this hotel in Lake Placid through Expedia based on the great reviews, planning to celebrate my wife’s birthday there. I informed the property in advance that we’d be arriving late (around 10:30 PM), and they sent me instructions and a door code. After a long 6-hour drive, we arrived exhausted — only to find the room had not been cleaned at all after the previous guest. Trash, dirty towels, unmade bed — it was disgusting. There was no staff on site (they close after 9 PM), and the number they gave for check-in assistance didn’t answer calls or texts. We tried multiple times — no response. We had no choice but to find another hotel late at night. It was stressful, disappointing, and completely ruined the experience. This is unacceptable for any guest, especially when you pay in advance and follow all instructions. Avoid this place unless you’re willing to risk showing up to a dirty, unprepared room with no way to contact anyone for help.

Really beautiful area, quiet and just perfect to disconnect with your everyday life.

Very nice place to go and relax, didn't know the sauna was included, would like to know it before, so I wouldn't have done my hair before getting there.

We really enjoyed our stay at Eastwind, our room was well decorated, bed was comfortable. Staff was really welcoming and helpful. This place is a gem, the outside fireplace with s’mores kit, wine, beer, coffee bar and a musician on Saturday night. We ordered the breakfast, it was well presented, delicious and delivered to our room. Someone locked the front door of our building at night, thankfully we saw that on our way out. And we had someone on our building with kids and they were really noisy early morning starting around 6 am on our last day…

We LOVE our little Lushan cabin! It is just large enough for my husband and two little fur babies (mini doxies). The little cabin was designed so well! The floor (wood and tiles) are heated. Two sky light windows right above the bed! Plenty of storages (under the stair to go up to the loft bed) and the little writing desk. Bathroom is large with fun "terrazzo" style tile. Very stylish! Sofa is large enough and the bedding are soft and comfy. There are also great amenities within the hotels, we used the fire pit, roasting s'mores and ordering beer or wine from the bar while our our fur babies running around. There is also an outdoor Sauna which we used and enjoyed. The hotel is situated near the Main Street in Lake Placid yet very quiet. Our little cabin is set on the back of the property and overlook the Chubb river. Staffs are friendly and attentive, we ordered breakfast baskets twice and both were delivered with warm pastries and hot coffee right on time. We really enjoyed our stay at the Eastwind Lake Placid location. Really great property and great value. I would love to visit again, if not this location then the Catskill location.

This is a simplified lodging, no TV etc. Lets you unplug from the daily rat race +: Reasonable rates, clean, nice fire pit area

Two thumbs up….

We were in Lake Placid for the World Championships for Bobsled and Skeleton. We arrived in foggy and rainy conditions and had an issue with slippery conditions. The staff was excellent in attending to our concerns. The rooms were immaculate and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was big and had everything we needed. I particularly liked the radiator being right under the towel bar so I could have a warm towel after a shower. The rooms have their own thermostats so you can control each room’s temp. There’s a small refridge in each room and a bottle of Saratoga water. They offer a breakfast basket delivered to your door which is filled with little pastries, yogurt, jams, hard boiled eggs, oranges and some other goodies. Hot coffee was delivered in a big thermos. It exceeded my expectations. I think we could have gone to the reception area for breakfast, also. The reception room, where we checked in, was very welcoming, especially after a long travel day. There was a fire going and I just wanted to plop down in one of the big chairs and zonk out. I was very impressed by the attention to detail with the whole experience. Carolina and Patrick on the staff were particularly helpful. I didn’t realize the rooms had no tvs til we got there, but we didn’t miss them at all. I highly recommend staying here.

Amazing! Highly recommended. Be careful in winter if you dont have AWD, the parking can be tricky.

Lovely, quiet and very unique property. The amenities were very thoughtful from Turkish cotton towels to minimum waste pour-over coffee in the room. There was no TV on the room which was a surprise. I don’t watch much TV but like to have it on in the morning while getting ready. I will be back!

A hidden gem off busy Main Street! Pet friendly, quiet and cozy. 10/10.
