The air conditioner was not working in the room, and the room was not cleaned properly

Great historic hotel that is nestled next to the St Clair River with freighters going by as you sit in the pool. Spent the afternoon experiencing the local art fair and vendors. From locals to staff, everyone was friendly and accommodating. The only disappointment was that neither of the bars were open during our visit.

Loved the area! Watching the big ships go down the river was fun! The staff was super friendly! The Dive burger at the dive bar was delicious!

it's on the St Clair River, great scenery. We were looking forward hanging out at the pool, but the weather didn't cooperate.

Greatest plaza for sitting by the river and watching the freighters pass. Comfortable bed, helpful and accommodating staff. All that excellent. Problematic was lack of anywhere to sit in the room, limited food choices from the restaurant, meager breakfast service. That being said, I would stay here again for the uniqueness of the location and the historical ambiance.

Very good experience overall. Location on the St Clair river is key. Food preparation was not up to par for a hotel of this this caliber. Had the eggs Benedict for breakfast and I was surprised that the English muffin was not toasted.

Absolutely loved the hotel! It has been beautifully renovated and is very modern and stylish inside. Everything about our stay was 5 stars—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The only downside was the service at the bar/restaurant. We dined outside twice, and both times the service was extremely slow, despite it not being very busy. That said, we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend overall!

Horrible property $200 night expensive room on the river We are only staying one night to experience it on our travels and had no air conditioning and they would not help us refund us or do anything we had to beg for another room. We had to carry all of our luggage to that other room and it’s 2 AM. And the hotel manager came to our room told us everything was fine and started crying, literally crying like she was on drugs or something. totally unprofessional. They said they could refund our money we have to leave or we take the other room. I took the other room. I don’t wanna look for another room at 3 an I have the videos of the workers aka manager I submitted them to my credit card company and will be posting more reviews against them. I can’t post videos here. It’s crazy if you watch them.

I stopped in St. Clair for some R&R before heading home to Idaho. Wanted someplace peaceful to just relax and that is what I found. I would definitely return.

We always went for our anniversary. My husband recently passed but I carry on our traditional as my “yearly” retreat - same room and same time! Rates continue increasing making me take pause but truly my happy place! I don’t like that you have to leave a message but they call back pretty timely. I don’t like the new restaurant or menu but there are walkable restaurants. Just take caution many not opened on Mo days and close early

Our stay was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Only few issues which really wasn’t too bad. 1st we were on third floor ( stairs only) not a big deal. 2nd two weddings in hotel so restaurant was closed. We just went into town. 3rd hot tub was under repairs.

Absolutely perfect stay at the St Clair Inn! Went for a quick girls weekend and it was everything I could have asked for! The Dive was a fun spot during the day with good food and drinks while the Prohibition bar was perfect for the night cap! Walking distance from the little downtown area with shops, restaurants and bars. Everyone there was extremely friendly and very helpful!

We recently stayed at the St. Clair Inn Hotel for a wedding, and it was a great time. The location right on the water is stunning, and the grounds were perfect for photos and gatherings. The staff were professional and welcoming, and the room was clean, stylish, and very comfortable. The only drawback was the noise from the road—our room faced the street, and we could hear cars passing by, especially at night. It wasn’t a major issue, but something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper.
