Hotel and stay was lovely just mind the stairs

The room is small. Especially the bathroom.

A beautiful little hotel in very good condition, so we enjoyed it. But, the service has huge room for improvements ! I believe the hotel has employed a lot of students - fine but hey need training. The main gate is blocked - very difficult to find an alternative route. Please, make sure the maps/Garmin get updated ! Is says free limited parking. When there is NO parking to be found the hotel should have a back up ! A waiter spilled "egg royale " on my trousers - I would expect some kind of response - a free drink in the bar, may be.... ! A managers asked if I was insured (!!!) - no the egg did not case injuries..... The Bonniers was closed the two nights we could have eaten there. Very disapointing ! please, print info in big print ! We noticed that some guests very welcomed with a small drink. Strange to be present and not get any.... The reception should have some city maps to give out.

A beautiful place with a breakfast fit for royalty. The rooms are spotless and cozy, and the beds gently lull you to sleep. It truly feels like your own little palace. We’re already hoping to return.

Brilliant staff - the lady on reception was outstanding, the room beautifully presented and and a fantastic bathroom and high quality bed. It was sincere and lovely representing Edinburgh perfectly

It’s not worth paying 5 star price for this hotel. The service is just okay. Breakfast was terrible.

A special and very personalised stay from the moment you check in. It feels more like you are staying at Bonnar’s home than a hotel. Easy walking to the city.

The Scott hotel was so charming. Updated well, but still jas plenty of charming architecture. No elevator, so be prepared to walk up a couple of stairs, but it was so cute. The breakfast was absolutely lovely. Staff was very friendly. A little ways off of the royal mile, but well worth it for the quiet charm. Easily walkable. There are also busses nearby if you don't want to walk.

Lovely hotel. Very near Holyrood park and close to buses to be able to explore Edinburgh. The breakfast was amazing and such high standards of service

This is a beautiful, well appointed hotel in the grounds of the university of Edinburgh. It is quiet and the staff are pleasant and extremely helpful. I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

Beautiful hotel next to university campus. Quiet and great breakfast and room. Price very nice and a little way out of city. This is a bonus if you went to relax away from the busy Edinburgh .

Beautiful hotel and location was great

We were so impressed with everything at The Scott Hotel. It is on the University property but far exceeded our expectations! Beautiful rooms, great service from breakfast to dinner to specialty drinks in the old fashioned lounge in the evening. The bed was so comfortable and the 24 hour coffee/tea lounge was fantastic! It is within walking distance to downtown Edinburgh but far enough out that you don't have the city noise!

Excellent stay at the Scott hotel Edinburgh. Staff are lovely and very helpful , breakfast is good , room Is comfortable but small and needed more lighting. Bed and pillows are excellent, cleaning is very good.I think the price is too high given the room size and amenities.No lift in this beautiful building. Quiet and a nice garden it’s situated next to the university. Good for those looking for a relaxing place away from the business of beautiful Edinburgh and free parking is good.

Amazing stay!

We had a wonderful two night stay. The welcome we received was outstanding. Staff were very attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed the access to tea, coffee and homemade biscuits down stairs. We ate in Bonnie’s on our first night. The bread starter was divine. The service and the rest of the meal was also very good. Our room was cosy and the shower was powerful. We would definitely return to this hotel. It was also a nice surprise to find that it was on the university campus and easily walkable into the old city within 35 minutes.

Great staff! We loved the updated room features. Breakfast wasn’t as good as 2 years ago.
