Hotel was perfect for our requirements. Would definitely stay there again

Really nice hotel and in a great location just 45 mins from Calais. The room was great and overlooked fields and had a really nice balcony. Dinner was great and the wine choices were good too. The pool was amazing, just what was needed after a long drive. Everything was extremely clean and very well looked after. Lovely stay

We stayed at this hotel on the last night of our week long trip to France/Belgium. We primarily chose it for it's location to both Poperinge and Ypres but also distance to Calais. We could not fault this hotel at all. The family who run the hotel were really friendly, the bed comfortable, breakfast was great and the food in the restaurant was delicious. We did not use the pool or sauna only because we did not pack any swimwear but it looked lovely. From the outside when you park up this hotel gives an impression of being ordinary but once you step through the door the hotel is anything but ordinary. The decor and layout are lovely. If you are looking for a lovely place to relax, have a good nights sleep and great food in lovely surroundings then I would highly recommend this hotel.

What an amazing family run hotel, we highly recommend this hotel if visiting the area. The staff/owners were so helpful and friendly. The room was tastefully decorated and had every amenity you could wish for. The hotel exceeded our expectations. It has a great restaurant serving wonderful food and an extensive wine list. We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel near Ypres and also handy for quick drive to the shuttle. Proprietor very knowledgeable and helpful with local information. Lovely breakfast

Lovely place but found it slightly difficult to find. Wasn’t aware it was near a main road but didn’t really matter. Very clean. Only issue was the room was too hot. Window opened but didn’t cool it down. Really could do with AC or at least a fan. Difficult to park as a cycling team had taken over everywhere outside! Breakfast wasn’t bad and the owner was very friendly.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. From start to finish the experience was amazing. The staff were warm, friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was top notch, gorgeous luxurious bedding, huge comfy bed

Really nice friendly family run hotel. we stayed for two nights on a bike trip to watch TdF. Bikes stored in underground locked car park and locked away, which was great. We ate in first evening and food was superb, breakfast buffet was good and plentiful, bread was awesome. Rooms had great views over the farm land, clean/smart and comfortable. Has a pool and nice garden area, as well as a roof terrace. The family where very helpful and made you feel welcome. The hotel was bigger than we had imagined but is in super condition. parking is ample and we will go back in September.

Arrived very late so had to find the best way in but was clearly signed so nice & easy! Lovely friendly welcome & shown to the room which was warm clean & modern. I didnt make it to breakfast in the morning although it looked plentiful! Would stay again if in the area.

Lovely hotel. Great breakfast. Our room unfortunately overlooked a busy road and a factory with a noisy machine all night. We had the window open because it was hot so my sleep suffered from the noise! A shame because the hotel was otherwise very good!

All good, very central, loads of parking, fitness Center etc, unusually good hotel for the location.

Wonderful hotel, wonderful staff, great breakfasts. Staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. English spoken fluently. Hotel location was perfect for exploring the area by personal vehicle. We weren't so it was a considerable amount of extra taxi time to get to lepers and most of the WWI battle fields, cemeteries, and monuments. Here again the hotel staff was wonderful in helping us get around and finding good tour guides. You'll miss a grand opportunity if you don't stay here while visiting Flanders.

Absolutely faultless. Such an amazing hotel - well located, great rooms, great owners/staff, peace and quiet and a shame to leave. Definitely going back again!

This is a really good hotel. Extremely friendly owners who offered excellent service throughout our stay. Restaurant food was fantastic and served in a very relaxing atmosphere. Pool a good size allowing a nice swim. Highly recommend

Personal service from check in to departure. Given a tour of the hotel and its facilities and shown to our room. Bar serves an excellent range of local beers, which can be enjoyed whilst fussing the hotel dog. Didn't eat here, seemed rather pricey but looked great. Extremely clean, comfy room, nice countryside view. Not much around the local area, a car is a must.

Very friendly family run hotel with excellent service.

This is a real find. Excellent accomodation, with swimming pool, terraces and great food and drink. It's near Poperinge, about 15 minutes for Ypres but close to historical sites, including Lisjennthoek military cemetery with an excellent museum and Talbot House in Poperinge, the most moving memorial to man's humanity in wartime, staff at Callecanes are professional, friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault it.
