It could have been better overall I felt like it was overpriced for what I actually booked but theirs always room for improvement

Friendly staff. Hot water not always available.

There were a few issues with my room when i arrived. Some things did not work. But the staff quickly attended to those issues and are an absolute blessing to this hotel. They are truly amazing and embody African hospitality.

Super front desk staff and bar staff. Good value.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 4 years or so. It is a pity that Hotels.com has not always offered rooms, instead I have had to book through a competitor. It is very convenient, very close to East Park shopping mall. The hotel itself offers reasonable value with a guarded car park, though maintenance of the rooms need to be improved.

Loved the proximity to popular shopping spaces.

There was no warm water for bathing

I do not recommend this hotel. My experience was very disappointing. Upon returning to my room late at night, I discovered that the hot water was not working. After waiting over 30 minutes for maintenance to arrive, they confirmed that there was no hot water available in any of the other rooms either. This was incredibly frustrating, especially since I had an early flight to catch at 5 AM and just wanted to take a hot shower before leaving. Service from reception was slow, adding to my frustration, and I had to call multiple times to get someone to even show up to take a look at the shower.

It is a good money value.

Great stay

The grand palace was truly a great hotel to stay in. The staff was very attentive to our needs. The location was great. The one drawback for us was the safe was on the very bottom and was impossible to get to unless you got down on the floor and for us older people that was impossible to do.

Too close from night club, music every night from Thursday to Sunday. Huge odour problems of the bathroom drain

A fairly new hotel very close to East Park Mall and Great East Road

This is an excellent hotel. Very good value for money, and extremely close to East Park Mall. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The Grand Palace Hotel is not a bad hotel. But it does not stand up to the high quality that is promised in the adds and on the website. Main problem is that in the details the cleanliness could and should be better: especially the joints between the tiles. And wow: does it take long before the water in the shower becomes comfortable...
