The room was small, smelled like mildew in the hallway and room. The Canadian at the front desk was not very helpful and didn’t have a map of the city. The hotel does have the best view of the river and city if you stay in room 323. Breakfast and dinner were good, but crowded due to a large group staying at the hotel.

Loved the little patio with chairs overlooking the river and tree lined street. Great location and excellent breakfast. The hotel is clean and rooms clean with good amenities.

Meh. It's a hotel. Don't go when it's hot. They don't understand that their air conditioner doesn't work.

This is a fantastic hotel! Great location, view of the river, balcony to sit and enjoy the view. Staff is helpful, friendly and accommodating. Room is mean and bed is comfortable. Highly recommend!

We came here as we began our Camino hike at the mist of the corona virus when so many people where on edge. Given the unusual circumstance, I was so grateful by the wonderful and kind women who operated the front desk. They made us feel welcomed and made sure that we felt safe and comfortable. The hotel overlooks the river and park. We loved our balcony. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing! I wish the Hotel Imperio and all of the kind staff and people of Ponte de Lima all of the best as they grapple with this pandemic. It is businesses like these and the wonderful employees who make all of the difference and leave a profound impression at how good people are in the midst of a chaotic crisis. I hope to come back someday so we can finish our Camino. It was cut short as Spain went into lockdown.
