Overall enjoyed my stay here (3 nights, in December). Positives: The owner is very friendly and helpful, the little house was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped with a stove, full-sized fridge/freezer, microwave, pots, coffee maker (Costa Rica style) and, tableware. Plenty of space with a large closet area and two beds. It's located close enough to the National Park that I walked there one day, and walked around town for breakfast, lunch, and shopping. Parking was available off the street and behind a gate which felt secure. Downsides: Cahuita is very hot and humid and the house does not have AC or screens on any of the windows. The water is not heated either, although that wasn't a terrible thing as I needed to cool down at the end of the day. There was also quite a bit of road noise at night from locals going by on their motorcycles/dirt bikes.

This is great bang for your buck! Simple accommodations but clean and with everything you need, central location in a beautiful quiet town, lots of great local food walking distance away, and beautiful secluded beaches across the road. Would definitely recommend!

The owners were accommodating, friendly and patient. Lovely little place equipped with cooking utensils (though we couldn't find cutlery). Great for what we needed.

Josy the host is awesome, very friendly and knowledgeable. We felt very welcomed Also a nice treat to have a washing machine in our rental

Great place with in walking distance of town, the beach and national parks. The hostess, Jose, was kind and helpful. She provides a safe and comfortable place to hang your hat while exploring the great little town of Cahuita. Monkeys and flowers right out the front door, along with hammocks, and a front porch to relax on.

A great place to stay. We were warmley greeted and felt at home the entire time.

Josie is a fantastic host and runs a great service. The three cabins are spacious and comfortable. Hammocks out front to lay in and watch the waves crash.

Un petit endroit bien situé! On entends des singes hurleurs le matin et en fin d’après-midi. On peut les voir en avant pendant qu’on prend un café ou bien à l’arrière de la maison. Petite déception nous devions payer l’air climatisé en surplus , il y a deux gros ventilateur au plafond mais il fait très chaud s’il n’a pas d’air climatisé. Josy nous a bien accueilli!
