Excellent stay, great breakfast

The city is magnificent and the location of the hotel is perfect!

Nice little boutique hotel, centrally located at the beginning of the old city in Sarlat. Clean, comfortable and quiet hotel. Rooms are adequate in size and the AC works great. Service was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is €19 pp and probably not worth it for a limited buffet, but you're paying for the convenience.

The hotel is wonderful, staff is extremely pleasant, the hotel is located next the medieval city, the pool is very nice, the only negative, is we felt that the rooms are on the small side.

Great stay in Sarlat

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff! It was so convenient for getting into the old city for great dining and shopping.

Historic building in fine, updated condition with many, many eating places and shops within walking distance. The parking is inconvenient, but that’s better than tearing down old, beautiful buildings for parking lots. Bar, restaurant in hotel….

We spent 3 nights at Plaza Madeleine while exploring the Dordogne area. Great location in Sarlat-la-Candeda. The staff was very helpful in making dinner reservations. The room was great. Breakfast was the typical buffet. Because we were out for most of the day, we parked near the hotel and paid for 1-2 hours of parking. After 7pm parking is free until 9am so we would set out before 9 for a cheap way to park conveniently to the hotel. This may have been easier in the off season (late Oct) than it might be during the summer.

Very charming hotel in heart of town. Quaint and very walkable. Hotel staff was exceptional. The personnel at breakfast each morning were the best. Any request was happily fulfilled. Very friendly. Lovely bar as well. Bartenders were friendly. We loved Joules. Would definitely stay there again. They humored the Americans who only knew a few French words. Much appreciated

A beautiful hotel near the Sarlat historic area. I would have loved to stay another week there. Hopefully, next year.

The breakfast was delightful and sumptuous. The staff was caring and very attentive. We felt welcomed and the hospitality was genuine and superb.

Great hotel great location

Élégant hotel right in the heart of the old city. Very attentive staff, good sized room with view to town activity. Bath was big enough to be useable! Outside seating for snacks and drinks from the hotel bar.

Great location close to old town. We parked in a free parking area which was a short walk away from the hotel. Loved Sarlat!
