Perfect location right on lake bled. We had a great trip.

Very helpful, helped arrange taxi for pick up when we arrived late evening and concierge gave really good information on local area and onward transport options. Rooms were very clean and location was excellent, opposite the lake. The hotel is on the edge of town and quiet and its a beautiful 10-15 min lakeside walk into the main town. However, there is a bus stop next door with buses into town if you need and regular (mostly hourly) buses to Ljubljana. Breakfast was good and there was a nice cafe/restaurant/bar attached.

Nice and cozy room, but with a great view of the lake. Centrally located so you can go either direction and cover most of the vista points of the lake. Very walkable. We had a good time staying here.

Unbelievable location, Lake Bled is so picturesque & right across from hotel. Service was excellent, breakfast & restaurant great quality. Lovely room with great facilities and very clean. Very helpful and friendly staff

Safe location, clean rooms with good working AC, property is right on the lake so easy access. Hotel breakfast and restaurant were good.

Nice hotel with lake view. As there is a road between the lake and the hotel, if you choose a room with balcony, be prepared for the noise from vehicles driving passed as it can be really noisy.

I had one of the balcony rooms during my stay and it was magical. I was able to see the castle when laying down to sleep. Great views overall. As some other reviews mention, the rooms are small. I was traveling alone so the size was not a big deal. There is not an elevator but staff was more than willing to help taking my luggage up and down the stairs. I enjoyed the location, but when booking people should know that you will have to walk about 20 min to get into the town area. The bus station is about a 25 minute walk. The hotel itself has a restaurant and there is a small market very close. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to book this hotel in the future.

The view of the lake is spectacular! And the service was exceptional - I had requested gluten free options at breakfast due to allergies and the kitchen went above and beyond to care for my needs. Thank you!

The balcony view was beautiful overlooking lake Bled. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable rooms

We had a lovely stay for two nights! We walked the circumference of the lake and were able to rent rowing boats from only about 50 m from the hotel to road to the island. There is a supermarket close by and plenty of restaurants. Everything is within walking distance. The hotel was very comfortable and seemed to be newly renovated. Just beware the hotel restaurant is only open until 8 pm. But the food was amazing with lots of traditional Slovenia options. Would recommend this place and would stay again. Everyone was very friendly and helpful

Great hotel in beautiful location directly by the lake. 15 min walk into town and restaurants. Rooms a little bit small, but with an amazing view. Fantastic for a couple of days

Great 1 night stay. Excellent location, straight onto the boats in the morning before it got busy

Thermostat didn’t work. Asked front desk to turn it dow but didn’t work. So hot had to open windows and then kept awake by road noise. Shower soap was empty

Starkl is a lovely newly renovated boutique hotel on the shore of Lake Bled. The rooms are beautifully designed, if a little small, and it was lovely to walk out of the hotel and start our walk around the lake. The restaurant is also fantastic. I do think however at their price point, they should not charge hotel guests for parking. It's only 5 euros a day but it would be a smoother experience if they just bundled it into the price. That, and the multiple emails about the additional things you can purchase at the hotel, gave the impression that profit maximisation out of guests. That's of course the point of hotels, arguably, but it felt very pointed at Starkl.

Excellent location by the lake. Friendly staff and very good food for breakfast and on-property restaurant.

Wonderful location and staff!

This was an old bungalow with a seemingly popular restaurant - we didn’t go to the restaurant. Great location on the quieter end of the lake, right opposite where the boats to the island dock. Friendly staff, great breakfast. Clean, updated rooms with good amenities. No elevator, so carried luggage up one floor. They may have staff to help out with that, though we didn’t ask.
