We had a disabled room, The shower needed careful use or it flooded the bathroom. The bed should have been wider, ? king size. In hot weather ii was not good for 2 people.

Not a great experience from booking through to stay. Charges 5 star prices but is not a 5 star hotel. Had numerous issues with management. Would avoid.

In a heatwave ,we were given a room with no air conditioning and poor ventilation .We could see other unoccupied rooms with better ventilation . Unremarkable breakfast.

Enjoyed our stay overall. Bed comfortable, room clean. Breakfast was good but no granola or beans on the first day, tinned and packaged goods why run out? Pitch and putt course poorly maintained. Pool good, sauna open, steam room closed, so again disappointing.

Family suite rooms have fantastic views. Very clean, great restaurant and breakfast. Beautiful location

A lovely setting overlooking Rutland Water. The grounds are well kept and it's a very pleasant way to spend a weekend. The Blossom restaurant staff were engaging and helpful, taking time to talk to customers. The spa experience was wonderful and again the receptionist and masseuse were a pleasure. Would definitely like to return.

The location and grounds are amazing, But felt like there wasn’t enough staff for the size of the hotel.

Room could have been cleaned to a higher standard, dust behind the tv and in various places. bathroom had mould in the shower and sealant needs replacing in a number of areas. Constant foghorn type noise emanating from the ground floor of Oakham block.

Absolutely brilliant. Well looked after.

We were only there for one night but this was a great base for visiting the area. The room was clean and comfortable; the bathroom was very modern and the towels were large and soft. There was a kettle and a coffeemaker in the room with a good supply of teabags, etc. Breakfast was very good with a wide range of food available. We would definitely stay here again.

Very well presented hotel with clear evidence of recent refurbishment. Clean and comfortable. Great location with easy access to the water. Short drive to Oakham for shopping and refreshments.

Beautiful hotel in beautiful grounds. Room was lovely had a king bed but was two singles put together with separate duvets and sheets which was a little strange. Don’t eat at the restaurant really slow, things missing from our food, hugely overpriced and not cooked well.

Nothing was to much trouble. Everyone was so welcoming

Beautiful hotel in amazing surroundings next to Rutland water. Food was amazing and the staff friendly and professional. Beds comfy and room was superb.

We had a few issues which we raised with the management at both the hotel reception and the restaurant. Our advise would be not to book a cosy room for two people as ours was very small and dark and really only suitable for one. We also thought the restaurant food was overpriced for the quality. One thing very much in the hotel's favour is the location as it is in the most beautiful setting so worth staying for that alone.
