The room was perfect for our needs. Enjoyed the restaurant on sight. All the staff we so pleasant and helpful.

Would rate all areas of hotel excellent. Friendly staff on check-in, cleaning staff in hallway and those in the restaurant. Everyone seemed happy to be working. Good choice on menu for breakfast which was the only meal we ate there. Did not use the pool or excersire areas but they appeared to be well equipped. Only problem was trying to find a correct setting for the A/C unit. This was probably due in part to the days we were there being very hot and our room faced west getting the afternoon sun.

The view of the surrounding tabletop mountains is a wonderful backdrop while you take in a meal on the raised deck. The options for breakfast surpass any morning fare given by most hotels. The staff is friendly. The pool facilities are well maintained. There is ample parking. We visited Kakabeka Falls, Fort William, and Chippewa Beach. There were two weddings, one taking place on the grounds with the mountains looking down. Do not stay in town. Stay at the Nor’wester!

This is a great place to stay. I would suggest planning any way possible to avoid thunder bay if you are a traveler but if you absolutely must stay in junkie Thunder bay then this place id a safe place to stay with no one hanging around drinking outside. I strongly dislike staying in thunder bay and at many other hotels like Valhalla i have had confrontations with locals over nothing. This place is like a haven outside of the town a little bit. It is expensive but it is worth it if you dont want to get in a fight outside or your stuff stolen. Strongly recommended.

Loved how welcoming and kind the Staff was. As my first visit to thunder bay, they ensured i had a proper experience and had a great scenic view from my room. The restaurant was great, friendly and open staff; very relaxed but also very professional. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit!
