The hotel was very clean, the staff were top-notch, and the breakfast was excellent, providing an array of options. The breakfast rooms were kept totally stocked and very clean and tidy. The location was excellent -- minutes from the Citadel and the Halifax Public Gardens. Lots of shopping and restaurants that were very close and the halifax harbour was a 5-10 minute walk away. I was so impressed with this hotel and would definitely stay there again and would recommend to all! (One last thing...the front desk staff even called up to our room after we had checked in to see if we needed anything and to check the status of our room... I have never experienced this before and was very impressed!)

The property is perfectly located to everything.....you can walk to restaurants, bars,the waterfront and shopping.

This hotel was very nice. I would suggest that you need taller toilet. I’m average height and my husband 6’4 and we both felt like we were sitting on the floor. Also windows need to be replace because it diminishes the view. The queen beds they offer are more like doubles. Other than that it was very nice

Roof top bar( canvas) was advertised to be open friday and Saturday nights. It wasnt. It would have been nice to have a " cold snack " before retiring. Besides that, place was great

The hotel was in a great location, very clean, and staff very friendly. Only thing we did not like was the restaurant - food was not great - though the staff there were also very nice.

I did not like the entrance and exit to the underground parking. I would suggest putting the key access outside and therefore you would not need the island inside. Very tight exir.

The hotel is in an excellent location, very walkable to transit, dining, shopping, library and tourist attractions. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The included breakfast was good each morning. The hotel room was a little dated and worn inside but was comfortable enough for a five night stay.

The staff was outstanding, they bent over backward to be as energetically professional and welcoming and positive as possible, in what is a battered and worn and down at the heels hotel in desperate need of some investment. If you don't have an upper floor view of the harbor you have a very dark room overlooking a parking lot. The rooms are small, the carpet is old, the bathtubs are from the 1960s. That being said, when I asked to be changed to a room with a view of the harbor I did get a 6th floor view suite, with one failed window but a really lovely quiet room. The suite rooms have the bedroom on the view side and a door locking out the hallway noise from the sitting room side. Bed was firm but extremely comfortable, really great linens and pillows. Towels were meh.The roof deck is tiny the hot tub also tiny. But the staff tries so, so hard they made it a delightful experience for me, which it would not have been if I had not changed rooms.

Good hotel that is really close to the citadel. Restaurants are nearby. Carpets are a little tired but all-in-all a good spot for one night. Having parking onsite was helpful too and free breakfast (bacon and sausage extra $). Cheers

There was a noise like water running and turning off every 2 minutes - near the washroom. I let the front desk person know. May have something to do with the ice machine on the floor above
