We had a lovely time at the HFX. Check in was easy and chatting up with a fellow Brazilian made things so much more enjoyable! The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The comfiest bed ever. Excellent location, extremely convenient for us going to Halifax, Cape Breton and Truro - right in the middle of everything. We would definitely come back.

It was in a great location and shuttle bus before check in at the very close airport.
Only thing was the breakfast was poor, orange juice lovely actually and bagel but no tea!! must have tea please :)
Will defiantly stay there again and bring my tea bags !!

Note, if you are on the first level it is downstairs and some parts of it require going up a few steps, this can be an issue if you are in a wc or have difficulty with steps. There is an elevator should you choose to stay on another floor. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable. The sink was outside of the bathroom which has pros and cons. They have 2 options for breakfast, the early one is a buffet so you can get a meal before you need to go to the airport. Or they offer a smaller area which opens later and you can order to your specifications and pay for the meal. The hotel is near the airport and they offer some attractive deals for leaving your car there if you find this necessary. They also offer airport shuttles. If you need a snack or drink in the afternoon there is a small bar area or a very nice patio,

This hotel did the job for a quick stay after arriving late at the airport but I don't think we'd go back. We should have headed straight into Halifax for the evening instead. The transportation to the hotel from the airport was excellent and convenient. The hotel itself is a little dingy and dated. For example, the drain didn't drain. The price matches the experience so if you're looking for a cheap option for a night or a convenient place to park then this could be it.

The hotel is ok but the complimentary breakfast is not great, not only is there limited choice but it's always busy with line-ups and limited seating. Nice to have access to 2 pools. They also make you give a $100 deposit in addition to paying your room upon arrival.
