The property was very clean, the beds were comfy. However, the room could've been dusted. It is advertised that there was free wifi, which is not the case. I had to pay to use the wifi for the night. That was the only major issue.

Complained about dirty bathroom, dirty bed and 2 big bottles of shower gel and no shampoo. Hotel did resolve the issues, but it was a rocky start for a weekend getaway. We expected better from a Fairmont Hotel.

The bellman was awesome, but the hotel needs some major help. Our bathroom showed cracks everywhere, sink was blocked, and the shower SCREAMED for the first five minutes every time. The wallpaper is peeling, and ripped in some places, and the HVAC was completely inadequate. Our mini-fridge still has the spacers for the old style with over-priced snacks, so you have to get creative with putting anything it. The TV is really old, and you cannot link or cast to it. Wifi is slow and not dependable (unless you want to pay a daily fee for an upgrade). The hotel is one of the most expensive ones in the city, it would be great if the actual hotel reflected that. We mentioned some of this on check out, but no one seemed very concerned. Again - bellman was terrific! Just for comparison, I stayed at the Holiday Inn on Portage and it was night and day so much better.

Our room had two doubles and the sleep was by far the worst we’ve ever had. The mattresses were lumpy and caved in towards the centre. Please make sure to see the beds before you commit to staying. Not worth the price we paid and will most likely find another spot to stay next trip.

The property is in need of a face lift. The service and food were excellent, but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. Ours had cracks in the ceiling, cracks in the shower walls, the bathroom overall was tired and run down, the panel on the wall that allows access to the HVAC unit was off the wall and sitting on the floor when we checked in, the fridge didn’t work, etc. Nothing earth shattering, but the condition of the rooms reads more like a Comfort Inn than a Fairmont.

Staff was excellent. Construction around hotel was annoying as many sidewalks were closed and had to walk far away to cross street. Wifi was poor quality and not very fast. Could not download movies in advance of plane trip. Visited friends staying at Humphrey inn and their wifi was better quality

I chose the Fairmont for the brand reputation. The hotel was great. The experience was terrible. They put a drunk, fighting couple across the hall from me. The couple checked in late, after me. The hotel could have chosen any other room or floor in the hotel, away from guests. I had to call the front desk three times to send security. The couple was fighting and breaking furniture. The screaming was non-stop from midnight until 5 am. I had a conversation with the front desk in the morning. They told me they purposely didn't put the couple on a higher floor because of their condition. I couldn't understand what they were thinking by putting them across from me.
