I used to like the classy feel to this venue, however it has gone very downhill since my last stay 10 years ago. There were intoxicated people in the halways and doorways at all hours of the day and night.. police evicting people from rooms, people fighting in the entrance.. worst hotel experience ever. Staff tried to be nice.. but unfortunatly seemed like this was just normal.

We enjoyed our one-night stay here. Loved the vibes, architecture, and the views of Thunder Bay from our room. Affordable rooms and quality service.

Unfriendly and cold reception during checkin TV wasn’t working but didn’t realize there was a light switch that needed to be turned on for tv to work. Noone told me that even though I added 3 tomes thinking remote control didn’t work Went to restaurant and ordered breakfast. Waited 25 minutes and the server came back and told me she didn’t put my order in. Was late for opening ceremonies and didn’t get any breakfast.

The rooms were clean and large and well worth what we paid. We also enjoyed the free shuttle to and from the airport. However, the lobby and halls were filthy. We stayed on the 4th floor and there was food, cigarette butts and a broken beer bottle next to our room. The elevator was gross too.

Room was good for the price

When we arrived we were greeted by a front desk attendant by the name of praise I believe and from the start she was nothing but rude, we had to wait an hour in the lobby because she said the the reservation had not yet come through, after an hour I went up to the desk and was greeted with yes I know your room is ready followed by an awful attitude and rude jabs that made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. After we headed to our room I ordered food to pick up from the lobby restaurant the salmon and rice. When I received it the rice was so hard I almost broke my tooth on a bite and had to take it back down to ask for a different side which they did make for me. While up in the room we noticed it was extremely dirty with large amounts of dirt surrounding the bed and a woman’s sanitary pad was stuck to the headboard which is by far the most disgusting thing I’ve experienced. At this point after having driven 12 hours that day had to wait in the lobby for an hour and return food I just needed sleep so decided to discuss it in the morning with the staff. When we went to the lobby to check out around 6am there was blood all over the lobby floor the front desk said there was an incident and police were called to deal with it but nothing else. They had said since I booked through hotels.com there was nothing they could do for me. I stay in dozens of hotels a year and have rarely ever complained but this was bar far the worst experience I’ve had from start to finish.

Close to the airport, easy access to highway and surrounding businesses. Downfall, room did not get tidied while I was there for four nights. Garbage not emptied, towels not replaced. Only one restaurant, Timbers is closed.

Hotel staff are friendly. On day three room service came. Topped up the coffee, emptied my garbages and left two fresh large towels and a roll of toilet paper. They didn’t make my bed, replace smaller towels and wash cloths, clean the shower/tub or counter. My colleague had much better room service. I usually stay at the Delta and will be returning to the delta next time I’m in Thunder Bay.

Guests in hotel should be able to get room service. -We had to go and pick up our food. They couldn’t even give us real cutlery. Bed was comfortable. Shower was great - good pressure.
