Crowne Plaza BIRMINGHAM NEC by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Lovely welcome to a clean and tidy hotel. Spacious room which was comfortable and quiet for an overnight stay. Very convenient for BPpulsd and Resorts World. Would certainly stay here again.

Perfect for the airport, nec and Resorts World and a short train ride from the city centre

Holes in one of the hand towels and generally shabby furniture. Love the position of the hotel and the staff are very helpful but the hotel rooms are in need of a refurbishment. A pillow menu would be useful.

The outside surronding were beautiful and a lovely room however the showers was scolding hot. Unfortuanlty this was not checked. Not provided any partial refund due to the shower being out of action, did inform the reception but this wasnt repaired till 10am ti which our train back was 10.45 . Beautiful breakfast , just a shame we could not utilise the shower facilities.

One night stay after a show at the BP Pulse, good service and no issues

Everything was good apart from mattress, hardly slept at all.

Don't be caught out with expensive parking fees. Pay in the hotel not at the meter like we did costing us an extra £10, for the weekend. I think this should made clear on the booking site. Hotel spotless, great food plenty of choice for breakfast, helpful staff, seating area nice and spacious.

Pros- Easy check in, complimentary parking, bottled water in rooms with tea/coffee & biscuits easy access to resorts world, toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, soap & body lotion, check in staff friendly Cons- rooms and furniture very tired, beds small and uncomfortable, (saggy in the middle) very noisy corridors until after midnight, fan in bathroom didn’t work, not enough towels for all guests, some lights didn’t work, bar prices very high at nearly £10 for a glass of wine ( cheapest) Ok for one night stay due to close proximity to the venue

The location of the hotel perfect for my needs. Check in and out easy. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Great price competitive for this hotel. Very big room. The furniture dated needs updating. Also pillows very hard! I had room 515, and had the report broken toilet handle it wouldn’t flush. They did send someone.

Lovely hotel. It was clean and comfortable and so close to Crufts!

The location was convenient. The NEC is about a 10 minute walk. The building next door has plenty of dinning options. The hotel lobby is a nice quiet place to sit during the day and a great place to get food if you don't feel like going out. The room was functional but definitely could use a refresh. The carpet and couch had clearly seen better days. The furniture was also pretty worn out. There was a fan in the bathroom that seemed to be dying and I couldn't figure out how to turn it off. The bed was decent and I appreciated the nice big TV with a good selection of channels.

On the whole the stay was fine. However we had a meal in the restaurant and was told by the waiter it would be put on the bill. However sometime after ten pm when we were all asleep we had a call saying we need to go to the restaurant to pay the bill. Our granddaughter was asleep and this woke her up.i had to get dressed. Also no one told us we had pay for the car park. Then this morning I had a text saying payment for the hotel had been attempted but was declined I had to go to reception again to sort that out as I thought I was being scammed. Also there wasn’t enough towels in the room for the four of us. I had to go to reception to ask for another bath towel.
